Tyler Vaughns
Tyler Vaughns
https://twitter.com/VaughnsTylerrnAnother sophomore to write about and Vaughns will a sought-after recruit by the time his high school career is over. Earning some valuable minutes as a freshman, Vaughns will be featured in the Huskies offense. He is excellent off the dribble with good bounce and can finish in multiple ways at the basket. Vaughns has shown a lot of growth physically and with his jump shot making him a threat from anywhere on the court. Buy stock in Vaughns early.
I saw Mroczek in early October at a PH Showcase, and he was easily one of the top talents there. With fantastic length and all-around skillset, Mroczek put on a show scoring at every level and blocking shots on the defensive side. He showcased his ability to spot up, penetrate and displayed a ton of athleticism when attacking. Maybe more importantly, Mroczek had a great attitude and looked like was having fun playing the game. Mroczek is well rounded on both sides of the court and will be a leader for the Storm.
Williams is one of the most refined point guards in the state. A varsity player since his freshman year, Williams is a high IQ player who can be a floor general with a calm presence that always makes the right play for his team. Often an unselfish player, he will be looking to breakout offensively this year as the Chieftains will put the ball in his hands often to make plays. Williams has the full capability to score off the dribble and is dangerous from deep with a clutch gene. Pay attention to this breakout candidate.
Braylon Owens
Braylon Owens
https://twitter.com/Owens14BraylonrnAveraging 5.5 points and 5.7 rebounds his freshman season, Owens was even better down the stretch for the Panthers averaging almost 10 points and 9 rebounds in his last four games. Standing 6’4″ with a solid frame, Owens showed he was a presence in the painted area while knocking down shots from distance to stretch the floor. Owens has a high ceiling and could be a gem that is ready to be found.
