On October 22nd I attended the Area Codes Hidden-20 at AZ Compass Prep. It was a small showcase of four teams of 9-10 on each team.

We had some youth plus some talented seniors.

Here were some more of the standouts:

[player_tooltip player_id='1225571' first='Austin' last='Senters'] Skyline Prep (Pictured)

A natural scorer from all three levels. He dunks it in the open court and euro his way down the lane. He can pull-up from mid-range and hit the catch three. He is a good second jumper to get on the glass. He is not a break the defense down type but best off the catch.

[player_tooltip player_id='1364966' first='Zion' last='Eboru'] Liberty

A defensive scoring guard is very active in the passing lanes and he will rebound. He gets hot from beyond the arc quickly. He will catch and shoot and can get a step on his defender and get downhill. He looks like he grew two inches.

[player_tooltip player_id='2107245' first='Zane' last='Russ'] AZ Compass Prep

A good looking freshman with size and skill. He has one of the prettier strokes from the three point line in the class I have viewed. He has a quick release and gets the ball out of his hands quickly off the catch or pull.

[player_tooltip player_id='2134496' first='Josh' last='Max'] Catalina Foothills

A strong power forward who can score and defend. He rebounds and blocks shots. He scores it around hoop and is sneaky athletic to dunk it. He can also step into a three off the dribble.

[player_tooltip player_id='2250252' first='Sebastiano' last='Patane'] Yuma Catholic

A fluid newcomer for me is a nice sleeper from Yuma Catholic. He is quick on the ball defensively and has a nice handle. He can pull-up from mid-range and hit the three.

[player_tooltip player_id='2266384' first='Aiden' last='Williams'] Sequoia Pathway

A scoring point guard plays beyond his years. He can hit the catch three with deep range and he moves the ball. He throws perfect alley-oops and is quick on the ball to defend.

[player_tooltip player_id='1976306' first='Jayden' last='Davis'] Desert Edge

A battle tested wing forward has toughness and he will defend. He can hit perimeter jumpers but makes off balanced shots with his left hand in the paint. He can shoot it over the defenders arms and will rebound with a quick second jump.

[player_tooltip player_id='2266385' first='Braylon' last='Gray'] Sequoia Pathway

Another talented 8th grader has a tight handle and is smart and tough. He runs floor and he is a good passer. He is a deep three point shooter and has open court speed.

[player_tooltip player_id='1540144' first='Quintin' last='Ragland'] Tucson

A tough two-way defensive guard. He is a natural driver with a nice first step and has strength to absorb the contact. He can hit the three and his on-ball defense makes his game go.

[player_tooltip player_id='2250571' first='Dennesio' last='Patane'] Yuma Catholic

The younger brother can score it. He uses the floater game and can score on offensive rebound put backs. He is competitive on defense and he is sneaky athletic.

[player_tooltip player_id='2250566' first='Jude' last='Mata'] Cortez

A newcomer for me is a scoring guard who runs the floor well. He has quick hands on defense to collect steals and will block shots. He can get downhill and score on reverse layups.

[player_tooltip player_id='2109028' first='Malachi' last='Kaffey'] AZ Compass Prep

The eight grader fit right into the older group. He has a good handle and reads the defense but it's his shooting that stands out. He can hit the three off the catch or pull with range.
