Size is at a premium so Randall would have been on the radar simply by showing up. He impressed by flashing his skill. He has a better than average handle for a player of his size, look for his development to keep the Boulder City program train chugging along.
Where did this kid come from? Pharris played like a dawg in the game I watched. He has a ton of skills, but perhaps his best was his confidence. He shot it like he meant it and showed good skill, making some nice plays in transition.
I learned about Reyna earlier in the week when I went in to check out Eldorado. He showed a good IQ and a willingness to compete, surviving his first varsity action, being thrown into the fire against Basic.
Canyon almost never plays freshmen so the fact that Townsend found himself on the floor early on is a good sign. It speaks to his overall competitive nature, as the guard held his own against bigger, older players.
Highlights
Stewart only saw spot minutes for Trinity in the game I saw. I evaluated him based on his size and movement. He’s a big strong young player with rim running ability.

The 4A preseason freshman of the year, cut his teeth in a victory for the Wolves. He flashed good speed, and aggressiveness in his first varsity action.
