The week of Thanksgiving I watched 50 teams play (48 from AZ) from Monday-Saturday at five different tournaments. I attended the Coyote Classic at Central and Camelback on Monday and Tuesday. I was at Mesa HS for the Fear the Hop tournament on Wednesday, The Valley Christian Tournament at Seton Catholic, Welcome to the Jungle at Gilbert HS on Friday and lastly I attended the The LV8 Invitational at Chandler-Gilbert CC on Saturday.

We have 14 different articles coming up starting with three newcomers articles.

Here are the newcomers of PG/CG's

[player_tooltip player_id='2279894' first='Zayn' last='Young'] Dobson (Pictured)

A scoring combo guard has a good feel for the game. He has deep three point range and uses his thicker frame to get downhill and he will bounce off of his opponents to score. He is good on the ball defensively and transferred in from Milwaukee.

[player_tooltip player_id='2280453' first='Iyzaya' last='Soto'] McClintock

A son of a coach plays on or off the ball. He shoots it from deep with range and a quick trigger plus sees the court and makes smart reads. He will stick his nose in to rebound and plays with a big IQ.

[player_tooltip player_id='2281138' first='Mikey' last='Schinstock'] Payson

A high IQ scoring lead has a floater game and can make plays. He moves the ball well and has a nice pull-up from mid-range with a quick trigger. When he has space and time, he will knock down the three.

[player_tooltip player_id='2281148' first='Omar' last='Fierro-Nava'] Payson

An undersized quick on quick scoring lead guard. He is a two level shooter from mid-range and will hit the catch three. He truly loves the pull-up game and he is a very good live dribble passer.

[player_tooltip player_id='2281140' first='Fauster' last='Johnson'] AZ College Prep

A scoring guard is a good catch three shooter and has long arms to close out to shooters. He is good in transition and can create his own offense off the dribble with side steps and ball fakes scoring on runners and layups. He is quick in the passing lanes to collect steals.

[player_tooltip player_id='2279966' first='Jacob' last='Maya'] Pueblo

A combo guard plays on or off the ball. The lefty has good open court speed and has quick hands to collect steals. He will score inside with no fear and has a sneaky quick first step. He is lean but can take a hit and score thru it after he euros down the lane.

[player_tooltip player_id='2280457' first='Anthony' last='Carranza'] Pueblo

The pure point guard for the Warriors has a solid handle with some speed with the ball. He has good court vision and plays from the neck up. He can get into the paint with his handle and score. He is quick on the ball defensively and can check the fast guards on defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='2279967' first='Jason' last='Cullum'] Sandra Day O'Connor

One of the point guards on the team was handling some of the ball handling duties with their starting PG out for the transfer rule. He is very good on the ball defensively and collects steals with a stronger upper body and moves the ball well. He can take a bump in the lane to score and he can shoot it.

[player_tooltip player_id='2280870' first='Austin' last='Fullmer'] ALA Queen Creek

A bigger point guard who has a good feel for the game. He uses the pick and roll to his advantage and often finds a teammate. He plays at his own pace and changes speeds and then throws the dart with a live dribble. He also has a sneaky quick burst to get into the lane and will hit perimeter jumpers.

[player_tooltip player_id='2279968' first='Paris' last='Walker'] North

A pure point guard who runs the team for them. He can pull-up from the three point line and rattle them off. He has good court vision and plays within himself. He is a good bail out passer where he can make a play last second before he lands and find a teammate.

[player_tooltip player_id='2279969' first='Vicente' last='Castro'] North

A high IQ lead guard can score and make plays. He has the runner game and will knock down the three with an unorthodox set shot that goes in. Although he isn't a jet, he can get by players with hesitation moves and then will make plays with his court vision and feel.
