Here are the pre-season rankings heading into the season. Team selection starts Monday the 6th and first official high school games start November 20th, so here is where we think teams stand going into the season, with an explanation.

#1 Corner Canyon High School

Corner Canyon is once again loaded with talent. A few months ago they might have been a team that was lacking some depth and height but now with a few new move-in's they have added what they needed to start the year at #1. They will be led by USC commit and 5-star prospect [player_tooltip player_id='1056969' first='Brody' last='Kozlowski'] who will be able to play forward now and not the have to defend too much as a center. Then with Derelle Desire now at Center he provides big time rim protection and interior scoring. [player_tooltip player_id='1190620' first='Bryton' last='Valdes'] gives them a true PG that is scrappy and fast. He does not get enough credit for how he can defend on the ball either. [player_tooltip player_id='1190621' first='Noah' last='Bendinger'] provides shooting and ball handling. The you have [player_tooltip player_id='1877115' first='Taylor' last='Feroah'] who is shooting the ball really well and he has size. [player_tooltip player_id='1278437' first='Tyler' last='Mortensen'] is developing well and this team is built to play any style of ball and they have a lot of length.

#2 American Fork High School

AF could have easily been #1 but we start them at two. They have also improved with a few move ins. You have the size and shooting of [player_tooltip player_id='1115954' first='Reece' last='Dent'], and the shooting of [player_tooltip player_id='1057025' first='Diego' last='Mulford']. Both players can stretch the floor. Then you have [player_tooltip player_id='1057050' first='Tiger' last='Cuff'] who is on the rise with his all-around play. [player_tooltip player_id='1538434' first='Blake' last='Rawson'] is one of the toughest players at PF that you can have. A few new names will emerge but keep an eye on Jax Clar. He is a wing with good size.

#3 Lone Peak High School

Lone Peak is really good with a lot of shooting and They have a really good big in [player_tooltip player_id='1146666' first='Chamberlain' last='Burgess'] a player that is an automatic double-double. Kid does some good things on both ends of the ball. [player_tooltip player_id='1146663' first='Ike' last='Staley'] is one of the best shooting wings in the state in the Class of 2025. They have also added [player_tooltip player_id='1579163' first='Austin' last='Simon'] a savvy PG and a new kid from out of state in [player_tooltip player_id='2261565' first='Cole' last='Caton']. A move in [player_tooltip player_id='1571761' first='Ty' last='Cogswell'] adds depth and height. [player_tooltip player_id='1364081' first='Austin' last='Pay'] is a big time football recruit who can defend and rebound. Look out for [player_tooltip player_id='1316136' first='Jackson' last='Taylor'], the kid can shoot the rock.

#4 Lehi High School

One of the most intriguing teams in 6A as they have a lot of players that are 6'4 across the board and they all have similar abilities. [player_tooltip player_id='1168376' first='Grayson' last='Brousseau'] is one of the best communicating SF in the state as he is a high IQ guy. [player_tooltip player_id='1057037' first='Cooper' last='Lewis'] can score and run a team very well. The emergance of [player_tooltip player_id='1551349' first='Gabe' last='Cowan'] will catch people by surprise. [player_tooltip player_id='1164729' first='Easton' last='Hawkins'] is one of the Class of 2025's best kept secrets. This team has a shot to really make a run.

#5 Layton High School

NOBODY is sleeping on Layton, especially with the year that [player_tooltip player_id='1057040' first='Mekhi' last='Martin'] had last year. this could be another year that you see the bulldog PG take his game to an even higher level. [player_tooltip player_id='1057041' first='KJ' last='Miller'] is a really talented shooter and these two make a super tough backcourt. Then the big addition is they will have [player_tooltip player_id='1057044' first='David' last='Katoa'] coming and playing for his home-town team this year as The RSL Academy team dissolved. With these three guards their ain't too many teams that have that kind of play. on any team in the state. [player_tooltip player_id='1568152' first='Sam' last='Romer'] has improved and they have some youngsters they can mis in. They start at #5 but they could easily be higher here shortly.

#6 Farmington High School

Farmington is a sleeping giant as they have a stable of guards that they can go too if they need to get a bucket. They also have some trees they can depend on to hang with teams with height. Let's start with [player_tooltip player_id='1057024' first='Paul' last='Beattie'], the high academic prospect is a two player that will rebound and provide a scoring punch. [player_tooltip player_id='1548402' first='Ethan' last='Atkinson'] is another player with length that can do a little bit of everything. [player_tooltip player_id='1555773' first='Drake' last='Darnell'] is a solid little guard that can move up and down the floor and be impactful at both ends. [player_tooltip player_id='1853979' first='Jayden' last='Haskell'] a player you really need to pay attention to as he is set to have a big year. This Farmington team starts off at #6.

#7 Bingham High School

Might be a shocker for some but if you have seen this squad play you will quickly notice that they can get up and down the floor and they play defense like no other. They will be lead by two guards in [player_tooltip player_id='1115964' first='Stockton' last='Tueller'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1278436' first='Luke' last='West'] who both are savvy in their own way. Luke is a big time scorer that can catch and shoot very well and when he is on the move he is tough to stop. Tueller is a play maker with big shot making ability. [player_tooltip player_id='1391448' first='Rykan' last='Meadows'] is a solid big with potential that gives them size. [player_tooltip player_id='1392874' first='Tate' last='Boman'] a move in to the are is a player that can really help this squad spread the floor. They are loaded with hard playing role players as well.

#8 Herriman High School

Herriman has a squad on paper and they will adjust to a new coach but they have an opportunity to sneak up on teams with their new style of play. We have been impressed with the way Ike palmer, [player_tooltip player_id='1278442' first='Carlo' last='Mulford'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1369726' first='Cale' last='Barclay'] have been playing. This trio should be much imprved this season. [player_tooltip player_id='1384539' first='Malcom' last='Johnson'] is a game changer as well at the forward position. Stay tuned because this team is a sneaky good team.

#9 Davis High School

Davis is a team that will rely on a few players but there are two in particular that could elevate them for sure and that is [player_tooltip player_id='1272410' first='Coleman' last='Atwater'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1534951' first='Zach' last='Fisher']. Both had great growth off-seasons and they could really explode this season. The addition of [player_tooltip player_id='1057031' first='Easton' last='Ralphs'] provides a lack of height that they have had in the past. Look out for freshman phenom [player_tooltip player_id='1611276' first='Bode' last='Sparrow'].

#10 Weber High School

Weber has a few players that could score the ball and that is why they are at #10. They will be lead by [player_tooltip player_id='1128939' first='Hunter' last='Schenck'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1548362' first='Malachi' last='Spencer']. These two will pack a scoring punch and if they can get stops they might be able to win those toss up games.

Notable Teams:

Fremont

Riverton

Here are the pre-season rankings heading into the season. Team selection starts Monday the 6th and first official high school games start November 20th, so here is where we think teams stand going into the season, with an explanation.
