Jones already got a ton of experience under his belt this past season with Grace Christian School on the NCISAA stage as an eighth grader. He produced 9.1 PPG, 1.6 RPG and 1.3 APG on 41 percent shooting, showing he could contribute against older competition. Look for him to continue to grow on the PH radar with Grace Christian in the Sanford area.
Adams is a name who continues to grow on the PH radar as he begins his freshman year with Southeast Raleigh High in the Greater River Neuse Conference. He’s an electric guard who can operate on both ends when he’s full of confidence. Given the amount of guards in the SE Raleigh backcourt though, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Adams on both the JV and varsity squad this season.
West is an emerging name to get to know out of Trinity Academy Raleigh as they look to rebuild their roster with him leading the way. He’s got the ability to operate at both guard roles given his ability to handle the ball and knock down shots on the perimeter when given space. As he learns the speed of the varsity game and learns how to contribute with his energy and shooting, look for him to grow on the PH radar over the next few years.
It wouldn’t be completely surprising to see Palmer Chase Palmer Chase 6’5″ | SF Wake Forest | 2027 NC to earn himself a spot on the Wake Forest High varsity squad given his ability and size already at 6-foot-3. He’s a bouncy wing/forward prospect who can fly around on both ends in the painted area. He should be an upperclassmen to keep track of in the early going heading into 2023-24.
Jenkins is probably one of a few names from North Raleigh Christian Academy to keep eyes on this season. He’s a two-way prospect with length who isn’t afraid to compete with his ability to attack off the bounce and defend at a high level. He’ll be a solid piece alongside Brennen Jefferson Brennen Jefferson 6’3″ | SF North Raleigh Christian Academy | 2027 State NC for NRCA this season.
