<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Prep Hoops Illinois Top 250 Pt 2 was held on Saturday!&nbsp; The event featured prospects from all over the state.&nbsp; We dive into the prospects here by class looking at the top performers!&nbsp; Today we look at <strong>Top 250: Scotty B's 2026 Standouts</strong>!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1552408' first='TJ' last='Williams'] (Glenbard West)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Williams was very good in this setting.&nbsp; The Glenbard West 6'2” shooting guard is a projectable wing that has long strides attacking the rim.&nbsp; Did that over and over getting to the rack with smooth takes.&nbsp; Got to the rim at will for layups and acrobatic finishes.&nbsp; Couple bullet passes, high pointed rebounds, and blocked a pair of shots in the game we saw.&nbsp; Continues to be a prospect worth tracking early on in the process.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1552409' first='Gage' last='Peterson'] (Waltonville)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Peterson is the top 2026 prospect in southern Illinois.&nbsp; The 6'5” small forward has good size and broad shoulders.&nbsp; Such a quick release on his jump shot.&nbsp; He gets it off in the blink of an eye rising up from mid-range and three.&nbsp; Plus shooter with touch.&nbsp; Like how he would grab it off the defensive glass and push usually finding a teammate putting his team in position for a score.&nbsp; Won on quite a few straight line takes and rebounded at a good clip for a wing.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2211161' first='Nico' last='Wright'] (Lane Tech)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Really like what we have seen out of Wright this spring.&nbsp; Bouncy.6'5” power forward that has a long and lean frame.&nbsp; He is quite the shot blocking presence.&nbsp; Swatted one after another recording five of them in one game we caught.&nbsp; Elite defender that has switchablity and can defend in space.&nbsp; Rim runs in transition and was mobile in the pick/roll.&nbsp; Quality rebounder that uses his length to high point boards.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2217978' first='Mason' last='Halbach'] (Geneva)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This Geneva 6'2” two guard shot it pretty well from the perimeter looking confident letting it fly on a couple of threes we saw him take.&nbsp; Also got on the offensive glass for several scores.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2323321' first='Jaysen' last='Wesley'] (Julian)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Wesley is a 6'5” power forward that has a long and lanky frame with projectability.&nbsp; Was effective getting on the offensive glass for second chance points.&nbsp; Fluid finishing in the pick/roll game.&nbsp; Finished dump offs with good hands.&nbsp; Some intriguing upside here!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2245708' first='JR' last='Swift'] (Proviso East)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Swift is a 5'10” point guard that pushes in transition and was a good pull up shooter from three that knocked in several of them in the game we saw.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1771009' first='Robert' last='Sansone'] (Montini)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This Montini point guard proved to be a quality shooter knocking in several threes in the game we caught him.&nbsp; Watch out for him for Montini this year!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
