This led to a great weekend of competitive basketball that gave teams a chance to measure themselves against opponents they wouldn’t normally face during the high school season.
Tounde was excellent this weekend showcasing his ability to score at all 3 levels, his dominant physicality on both ends, and his eye catching dynamism in the open court. Yessoufou has a deep offensive vocabulary and keeps defenders on their toes by always being ready to throw a new move at whomever is guarding him.
Delton is an exciting point guard who is always looking to make plays for others. Prescott has excellent vision and is able to make creative, beyond-his-years passes to set up teammates in transition and in the half court. He also has a very quick first step, and uses it to get into the paint where he has good touch on a floater, as well as the ability to finish effectively with either hand.
Christian is a mobile forward who is a strong defender, rebounder, and has good touch around the basket. Simmons’s mobility enables him to be switchable on defense as well as effective in transition as a rim runner.
Sabien scored the ball well this weekend from all three levels. Cain has a quick release and is a strong catch and shoot threat that provides valuable floor spacing and gravity for his teams offense. He attacked the basket confidently, and is not afraid to seek out contact to earips to the free throw line.
Highlights
EJ performed well this weekend showcasing his ability to be crafty, score in the paint, and finish through contact. Spillman also made plays and on target passes in the half court and transition to create open shots for teammates.
