SEPA Recruiting News:
Ryan Brown Ryan Brown 6'3" | CG Unionville | 2024 State PA – 6’3″ / 2024 / Unionville / PA Hoops Academy / Combo Guard: This long-distance sharpshooter helped guide Unionville to the District 1-5A championship game last year. Now as he heads into his senior season Brown has received an offer from Juniata College (D3).
Jordan Dill Jordan Dill 5'11" | CG Germantown Friends | 2026 State PA – 6’3” / 2026 / Germantown Friends / BW Elite / Combo Guard: Dill (21.5 ppg.; 59 3PM; 1,000+ point scorer) has now pulled in six offers as SMU recently their name to his list of schools. In 2022-23 Dill posted multiple 30-spots and was a 1st Team All-FSL selection.
Matt Gilhool Matt Gilhool 6'11" | PF William Penn Charter | 2025 State #76 Nation PA – 6’10” / 2025 / Penn Charter / Philly Pride UAA / Power Forward: Gilhool (10.7 points and 8.4 rebounds per game) holds numerous offers and is widely regarded as one of the top stretch-4 prospects in the Class of 2025. This week a Penn State assistant coach visited practice at PC to watch Gilhool.
Brendan Horan Brendan Horan 6'5" | SF Perkiomen School | 2025 State PA – 6’5″ / 2025 / Perkiomen School / East Coast Power / Wing: Horan scores at all three levels, can defend 2 through 5 and is an active rebounder. This past week he took a visit to Mount St. Mary’s. Horan already holds offers from LIU, Akron, and Old Dominion.
Justin Houser Justin Houser 7'0" | C Phelps School | 2025 State PA – 7’0” / 2025 / Phelps School / NJ Scholars Elite / Center: Houser (9 ppg.; 4.7 rpg.; 2 bpg.) is a legitimate 7-footer with a stretch-4 skill set. He just received an offer from St. Joe’s. His pile of offers also includes Penn State, Lafayette, Mount St. Mary’s, and UT-Chattanooga.
Kodi Johnson Kodi Johnson 6'6" | SF Phelps School | 2025 State PA – 6’6″ / 2025 / Phelps School / PA Coalition / Wing: Johnson (23 ppg. & 7.5 rpg. last year) is one of the most intriguing 2025 prospects in SEPA. He is a long, super athletic wing who can score at all three levels. Johnson is taking an unofficial visit to Rider University this weekend.
Alier Maluk – 6’11″ / 2025 / Long Island Lutheran (NY) / Wildcat Select / Small Forward: The former Imani Christian standout has narrowed his recruiting list to five schools – Florida State, Pitt, LSU, Oregon, and Ohio State. In 2022-23 he averaged 15 ppg. while guiding Imani to the PIAA 1A state title.
Kai Shinholster Kai Shinholster 6'5" | SG Penn Charter | 2025 State #133 Nation PA – 6’3″ / 2025 / Penn Charter / K-Low Elite / Shooting Guard: Widely considered one of the top perimeter shooters in southeastern Pennsylvania, Shinholster (13 ppg.) had Xavier coaches stop in for practice this week. Shinholster already holds offers from Hofstra, UTEP and Robert Morris.
Nasseem Wright – 6’6″ / 2024 / Math, Civics & Sciences / BW Elite / Shooting Guard: Wright is a walking bucket who has been tremendous over the last three months. Recently Wright was denied a 5th year of eligibility by the PIAA. He will now look to find a prep school for this coming season. Wright holds an offer from Hampton.
SEPA Recent Commitments:
Matthew Gorman – 6’2” / 2024 / St. Joe’s Prep / Gerner Elite / Shooting Guard: Gorman (8.5 ppg. and 3 rpg) is well known as a high percentage shot maker with unlimited range. But the rest of his skill is super smooth too. How Gorman has flown under the radar for so long is beyond us. This week he committed to Catholic University (D3). In our opinion, Gorman is a major “get” for the CUA program.
Jaylin Horsey – 6’1” / 2024 / William Penn (DE) / We R1 UAA / Point Guard: Horsey (2022-23 DSAC POY) is a volume scorer who can also serve as a primary ball handler. This past summer he dominated the Check Rock League. This week Horsey committed to Wilmington University (D2). The Wildcats staff pulled in a hidden gem with Horsey.
