With nearly 125 players ranked this is a deep and talented class. Several players in the class raised their rankings with their play. Here’s a look at the class of 2025 Stockrisers.
19↑16 Riley has put together strong outings the last few times I saw him. The high IQ PG is an accurate outside shooter that has value at both the one or two. He moves up three spots in the rankings on the heels of his strong Fall play.
29↑24 Rabb could climb even higher if he continues to develop. The long forward has moved from the 4 to the 3, showing a variety of ball skills in the process. He jumps up a handful of slots in the latest rankings.
33↑28 Thacker is a candidate for POY honors up North. The PG is a good ballhandler, capable of assisting and scoring the basketball. The guard from Douglas jumps up 5 spots on the back of a strong sophomore campaign.
35↑32 Simmons is one of the top physical specimens in the class. The long armed, forward has a good upper frame. He brings effort and a ton of energy to Mojave, culminating with a 3 spot jump for him.
31↑28 Trotter is one of the most versatile players in the state. A point forward type, look for Trotter to impact games with his rebounding and great vision. The dime dropping wing jumps up three spots in the rankings.
48↑39 I always like rewarding players that are consistenly productive and that’s the very best way to describe Patterson. The low post threat has done a tremendous job in his time at Cimarron, developing into one of the top scorers around the rim. Patterson gets a huge boost in the rankings, which is a credit to his stellar play.
50↑41 Tolever is relentless on the backboard. The gangly forward is one of the best pure rebounders we have in the state. Tolever’s energy and effort has been rewarded with an almost 10 spot bump in the rankings.
47↑44 Williams is known as a shooter, but don’t get fooled into thinking he’s a one trick pony. The PG has some wiggle to his game, which makes his threat of shot even more dangerous. He gets a bump in the rankings moving 3 spots.
83↑47 No player made a bigger jump than Nelson. The forward has improved a great deal over the last 12 months, and was rewarded with a huge jump in the rankings. The fluid running foward is good catching and finishing in transition, and has proved to be productive as a finisher around the basket.
63↑48 Robinson is a player that is more and more impressive each time I see him. The forward is one of the hardest playing players in the state, unafraid to sacrifice his body for his team. He continues his climb in the rankings moving up 15 spots in the latest edition.
12↑10 Ghallab is a player that you have to have in the POY conversation. The big man put up a monster double double season last year, if he touches anything close to that and Chap continues to win, look out. He jumps up two spots in the rankings.
