Expert Analysis
Anthony Fortuna | Prep Hoops Scout
Nelson is a solid all around player who can do a little bit of everything. His best offensive trait is his ability to hit tough shots around the rim. Nelson can also bring it on defense and had the biggest “wow” moment on Saturday when he absolutely glassed a Knicks power forward going up for a lay-up. Expect to hear his name throughout the 2024-2025 season. He seems ready to help lead Sierra Vista back another deep playoff run.

The more I see him the more impressed with him I am. Like the pace he played with this weekend. Has the ability to do whatever it takes to help the team, whether its defending or scoring from the perimeter.

Nelson does a lot of things that get overlooked, as well as some that standout. He plays with a good defensive IQ and has shown that he can score the ball at the high school level.
