Players are assigned to teams based on what county they live throughout Maryland, Northern Virginia and Washington, DC. The 10th year of the league tipped off this past weekend and Prep Hoops Next was in attendance for the opening day. Edrick Ngalieu
Edrick Ngalieu had one of the best individual performances on the opening day of the PYBL season finishing with 23 points in a win for his team. In his 23 point outing, he was very efficient as he connected on 11 of 17 shots from the field. He has a knack for putting up points in a variety of ways, often carrying his team’s offensive load. His impact on the court. His tenacity and commitment to making stops are truly commendable. He’s a player who can both score and shut down opponents. carried over to the defensive end as well. With his all-around contributions and high-level scoring, Edrick Ngalieu is a player to watch closely from the class of 2028.

Payton Pullen showed his ability to contribute in different facets of the game during the opening weekend of the PYBL. As an all-around player, he’s become a vital asset to his team, consistently making smart and impactful decisions on the court. His all around game is what makes Pullen really intriguing. Whether it’s scoring, setting up teammates, or playing stifling defense, he consistently makes significant contributions to his team’s success. Pullen’s basketball IQ is a crucial part of his game. He makes smart decisions, reads the game well, and understands how to impact various aspects of play.

Dylan Sauritch
Dylan Sauritch was as dominant as anyone on the first day of the PYBL season. Sauritch finished with 21 points and showed that he is a threat to score the basketball whenever it is in his hands and showed that his ability to put up points sets him apart as a valuable offensive weapon. What distinguishes Sauritch is his skill in drawing fouls and getting to the free-throw line. This ability not only boosts his scoring but also puts pressure on the opposing defense. His confidence, ball-handling skills, and scoring ability make him a player who can change the course of a game.

Axton Scott was one of the many dominant players for his team on the opening day of the PYBL season. Scott’s precision shooting is a huge proponent to his teams success. His accuracy and consistency from beyond the arc set him apart as a valuable asset on the court. His ability to stretch the floor and reliably sink shots adds a new dimension to the team’s offensive arsenal. With his sharpshooting skills and ability to make the most of catch and shoot opportunities, Axton Scott could turn out to be one of the better shooters from the class of 2028 in the DMV.

Jeremiah Williams is shaping out to be one of the more electrifying guards in the PYBL this season. Williams is the son of former NBA player Jerome Williams. His ball-handling skills are truly exceptional, allowing him to maneuver past defenders with ease. While his ball handling skills are truly exceptional, his ability to shoot the ball cant go unrecognized. He has a knack for knocking down shots with precision and consistency, making him a constant threat on the court. Williams possesses a complete offensive package, combining dribbling skills with sharpshooting prowess. His ability to create opportunities for himself and his teammates sets him apart as a multifaceted offensive force.
