Prep Hoops Florida is taking a look at the preseason all-state teams for the upcoming season. We have a lot of new faces in new places this season and are excited to tip-off next month. Here are some of the top players to watch for in Class 1A this season:
Roldjudson Lacossade, The 6-5 junior power forward has continued to improve his athleticism on the interior as he can make plays happen around the rim with and without the basketball in his hands. Lacossade is long, quick and can play multiple positions on the offensive end of the floor where he can score off the bounce as well as off the catch at a high level. Lacossade will look to improve his shooting from the perimeter this upcoming season for his game to take the next step.
CJ Ingram, A 6-5 junior small forward continues to be a dominant wing who gets involved in the action whether it’s his scoring, rebounding or playmaking. Ingram has continued to improve his court vision and has become a better decision maker while on the move. On the defensive end, Ingram can guard positions 1 through 4 as he is long and sneaky athletic for his size where he shows good footwork. Last season, Ingram improved his shot from the perimeter as he continues to play with more confidence and can finish above the rim at a high level as well. Look for Ingram to have a big season where he is being heavily recruited to play football and basketball.
Kyler Lamb, A 6-6 senior wing who makes a living finishing above the rim whether it’s off the catch or off the bounce. Lamb continues to improve his multi-level scoring as he is playing with more confidence around the perimeter on the offensive end as well. On the defensive end, Lamb is long and versatile where he can guard multiple positions and is very active in the passing lanes. Lamb is currently being recruited by several D-2 schools and has high potential to land some mid-major D1 programs by the end of the upcoming season.
Highlights
CJ Hall, A 6-2 junior combo guard can do it all on the offensive end whether it’s scoring at the front of the rim or attacking the glass for rebounds. Last season as a sophomore, Hall averaged nearly 21 points and seven rebounds per game as well as doing a great job facilitating for his teammates leading the way averaging nearly four assists per game as well. Hall is very versatile on the defensive end as well showing elite footwork and has the mechanics to guard multiple positions showing off his athleticism. Don’t be surprised if you see Hall on the All-State Team at the end of the season.
Highlights
Kyler Bryant, A 6-2 senior combo guard is a very crafty scorer who can score off the bounce as well as off the catch at a high level. Bryant plays at his best when he is attacking downhill and is unafraid to score while absorbing contact using his strength to finish off And-1’s. Bryant has also improved his ability to shoot from beyond the arc off the catch and also plays unselfish making the extra pass. On the defensive end, Bryant is a floor general and has a knack where he can guard mismatches at a high level using his length to contest shots as well as an above-average rebounder for his size. Bryant helped lead Chipley to the Class 1A Championship last season as a junior.
