passes the eye test thanks to a chiseled 6’5 frame. The two-time state champion quarterback has some big decisions to make next year, but his ceiling may be higher on the hardwood. The 2025 combo guard prospect is a physical, high-level playmaker with great court vision. He gets downhill, finishes through contact, and gets to the free throw line consistently. He’s a capable defender with a massive wingspan.

2023 stats: 24.1 PPG – 8.3 rebounds – 3.0 assists – 3.1 steals The Hornets have only went 12-4 this season but no losses on their home court with two matchups remaining. For the second consecutive season, Hawthorne is led by dual-sport junior CJ Ingram who has set the tone to start the year, averaging nearly 25.0 points per game. It’ll be crucial for Ingram to keep up that output if the Hornets want to get back into the state championship mix.

CJ Ingram, A 6-5 junior small forward continues to be a dominant wing who gets involved in the action whether it’s his scoring, rebounding or playmaking. Ingram has continued to improve his court vision and has become a better decision maker while on the move. On the defensive end, Ingram can guard positions 1 through 4 as he is long and sneaky athletic for his size where he shows good footwork. Last season, Ingram improved his shot from the perimeter as he continues to play with more confidence and can finish above the rim at a high level as well. Look for Ingram to have a big season where he is being heavily recruited to play football and basketball.

The 6-5 rising junior plays a smooth and fundamental game where he can affect the game in a variety of ways. Ingram is a solid finisher around the rim as well as a persistent passer to find open shooters. On the defensive side, Ingram can defend multiple positions and is very active on the boards. He is also very productive in the mismatches as he can go get a bucket when his team needs it. He is also the starting quarterback on the football team where his high IQ has been improving each year.

The 6-5 wing is one of the most uprising prospects in the upcoming junior class as he has all the tools whether it’s length, athleticism or speed. During his sophomore season, Ingram averaged nearly 22 points per game as well as eight rebounds. He has great court vision and is one of the most accurate passers I’ve seen for a forward in his class. Expect some college interest to come in the near future for Ingram as he excels on the basketball court as well as on the gridiron, where he is also the quarterback of his school’s football team.
