Mason Mangione Mason Mangione 6'3" | SG Glen Rock | 2025 State NJ , 6’3 SG Glen Rock
Mangione had a big day at the Expo as he impacted the game in a number of different ways. The 6’3 guard showed off a smooth release on his jumper and knocked down several jumpers from behind the arc. Mangione attacked the basket strong as he was able to get into the lane and finished nicely around the basket. He made smart passes throughout the course of the day and moved his feet on the defensive end. Mangione’s versatility is something that will help his game in a big way during the 2023-24 season.
Richie Jobiese, 5’10 PG Bernards
Jobiese had a breakout performance as he was dynamic with the ball in his hands. The 5’10 guard has a tight handle, which he used to blow by his defender and finish around the rim. Jobiese didn’t get rattled by on-ball pressure and was able to find open teammates in the halfcourt. He used his quick hands to get deflections on defense and showed the ability to play off the ball as well. Jobiese has the potential to have a big junior campaign if he is able to keep up his play from the Expo.
Zach Epp Zach Epp 6'2" | SG Westfield | 2025 State NJ , 6’2 SG Westfield
Epp’s stock has been rising since the summer and it continued to go up at the Expo. The 6’2 guard attacked the basket with a purpose as he finished nicely at the rim and drew contact in the paint. Epp played with poise on the ball as he made good decisions with the ball and did not get rattled. He made plays on the defensive end as he had a pair of chase down blocks and got deflections with his quick hands. Epp’s ability to make plays at both ends of the floor is something that will help his stock in a big way this season.
David Carr, 6’3 W Rumson Fair-Haven
Carr had a strong showing at the Expo as he made an impact at both ends of the floor. The 6’3 wing used his handle to get into the lane and finished well around the basket. Carr played with confidence on the ball and wasted little motion in his release. He fought for rebounds throughout the day and showed the ability to defend multiple positions. Carr is in line for a strong junior season as he should get more touches on the offensive end.
Victor Castellar, 6’1 SG Pennsauken
Castellar consistently made plays throughout the day at the Expo as he seemed to be all over the floor. The 6’1 guard jumped passing lanes nicely as he was able to generate turnovers and pushed the ball well in transition. Castellar was aggressive attacking the basket as he was able to draw contact and finished nicely around the rim. He moved well without the ball in his hands and was unselfish with the basketball. Castellar’s versatility is something that will help his game in a big way throughout the season.
