Aaron Cote, Team Simms. Class 2025, Position SG
The Lefty Guard, helped lead his teams to big wins this weekend. He has a smooth shooting form, and can get his shot off in multiple ways. He moves well without the ball, and can shoot off the dribble, off the catch or in transition. He also forced a few big steals on defense.
Alex Hoxie, Team Rhode Island Magic, Class 2025, Position G
Alex showed his clutch side this weekend, hitting the game winning shot at the buzzer. He got the ball off a blocked shot, and made the layup as time expired. Alex is a Guard who is prime for a big Junior season. Not only was he big at the end of the game, but he was effective throughout. He can score the ball, and be a distributor as well. He also handles the ball with confidence.
Corey Hadden, Team Expressions, Class 2028, Position Wing
Corey is still young, but is showing a lot of potential. Corey is a wing player with good strength and size for his position. Corey plays with high energy. This weekend he forced a bunch of mismatches on the pick and roll, rebounded well, and was able to play inside and out. Corey is a name to keep on your radar for the next few years.
Salim Diaby, Position PF/C, Team TTO, Varsity Division
Salim was one of the biggest stock risers from the weekend. Having moved recently to the States, he is starting to really gain the attention from coaches in the gym. He is nearly a 7 footer, who showed he can run the floor, finish at or above the rim, and is very athletic. He blocked many shots from the weakside, and was a big paint presence. He also has very good touch around the rim. Salim has a very high ceiling, due to his combination of skill, size and athleticism. I need to see him play more, but he looks to me like a potential high division 1 college prospect.
Xavier Rivera, Team Arsenal, Position PF, Varsity Division
Xavier is a strong built big man. He can finish well through contact, and he knows how to control his body. He got everyone’s attention with his big dunks. Defensively he played good weakside defense, and did a good job avoiding fouls. there is a Strong upside with his game.
