We begin our roll through of standouts from the top 250 Expo with players from the first group of teams.

[player_tooltip player_id='1288658' first='Jayden' last='Brink'] of Kingsland (6'0 Guard, 2024). Strong, quick, tough. That is how I would describe my first strong look at the multi-sport athlete from southern Minnesota. Brink scored 20.4 points per game as a junior and he looks primed to be attacking the paint for another winter of 20 plus.

[player_tooltip player_id='1617853' first='Nathan' last='Lindesmith'] of Mayer Lutheran (5'11 Guard, 2025). Nathan is a new name to Minnesota but not a new name to Prep Hoops. He was a ranked talent out in Ohio that just moved to the west metro and is going to be an instant impact guy for the Crusaders. Lindesmith set out to make a big first impression and.... mission accomplished. The guard was blowing up the opposition with his defense and he did as good of a job mixing his scoring with playmaking for others. Great first impression in Minnesota.

[player_tooltip player_id='2119578' first='Pierce' last='Petersohn'] of Triton (6'4 Guard, 2026). Pierce was one of the most impressive players at the event overall. Great size and agility at guard plus Pierce had three-four inches than the players that played the position. Loved the leadership he took over his group despite being a younger player and his production matched his ambition. Finished at the cup through contact, shot the ball well, and overall he's a player that I think we are going to hear a lot about. Pierce is also an excellent quarterback for the Cobras.

[player_tooltip player_id='2175436' first='Austin' last='Riewer'] of Bemidji (6'4 Forward, 2026). A monster screen setter, Austin was giving everybody room seeking out bodies to clear space and then Riewer rolled to the cup to constantly catch and produce. He was comfortable facing up to make plays, he defended, rebounded in bulk, has a good frame that he uses well, and Austin played strong in the paint. The biggest thing, Austin played hard. A player that I have a lot of respect for after seeing at the Expo.

[player_tooltip player_id='1617798' first='Spencer' last='Swenson'] of Sauk Rapids-Rice (6'7 Forward, 2025). The potential is what has everybody thinking that big things are ahead for Spencer. He moves so well at his size both up and down, and laterally. That means Swenson has the potential to be a multi purpose face up threat with the touch and mobility off the dribble, it means he runs well at his size which is not common, and it means as he grows he can move off of ball screens with guards.

[player_tooltip player_id='1493689' first='Tyler' last='Thompson'] of Roseville (6'1 Guard, 2025). Tyler was surely one of the biggest surprises of the day. There were two separate instances where Thompson just went on an energetic basket brigade bringing life to the gym. At one point he had a short jumper, an attacking lay-up, and then stole the ball and dunked all within a minute. So much energy and I have to believe he will have a great year for the Raiders.
