Below is a review of the latest happenings on the recruiting scene in southeastern Pennsylvania (and beyond).

SEPA Recruiting News:

[player_tooltip player_id='1189096' first='Jalil' last='Bethea'] – 6'4″ / 2024 / Archbishop Wood / [program_tooltip program_id='2078709' first='Team' last='Final'] EYBL / Wing: This past weekend Bethea (23 ppg. & 7 rpg; 43% on 3PAs; PCL POY) took an official visit to Miami. He then canceled upcoming visits to Syracuse and Alabama. As you may recall Bethea recently announced that he had signed with Klutch Sports Group (Rich Paul / LeBron James) for NIL representation. In short, it has been a busy last two weeks for Bethea.

[player_tooltip player_id='1608275' first='Jordan' last='Dill'] – 6'3” / 2026 / Germantown Friends / BW Elite / Combo Guard: Over the last week, Dill (21.5 ppg.; 59 3PM; 1,000+ point scorer) has picked up offers from George Washington and Howard. Dill posted multiple 30-spots last season and was a 1st Team All-FSL selection.

[player_tooltip player_id='1601132' first='Gavin' last='Doty'] – 6'4” / 2025 / Phelps School / City Rocks EYBL / Small Forward: Doty is a versatile playmaker who can score and distribute from the wing or the interior. He recently took an unofficial visit to LeMoyne College which jumped to DI this summer and joined the NEC.

[player_tooltip player_id='933048' first='Tristen' last='Guillouette'] – 6'9″ / 2024 / St. Joseph's Prep / NJ Scholars Elite / Power Forward: Unfortunately, Guillouette's petition for a 5th year of eligibility was denied and he has been ruled ineligible for the 2023-24 season by the PIAA. Guillouette (10 points and 9 rebounds per game) holds offers from Saint Joe's, Fairfield, Towson, Hofstra, Seton Hall and more.

[player_tooltip player_id='1123910' first='Khaafiq' last='Myers'] – 5'10” / 2024 / Neumann-Goretti / NJ Scholars EYBL / Point Guard: Myers (11 ppg. & 4 rpg.; 2nd Team 4A All-State) took an official visit to North Carolina A&T. He currently holds ten DI offers and we expect more to come in soon.

[player_tooltip player_id='1483181' first='Josh' last='Reed'] – 6'4” / 2024 / Archbishop Wood / Philly Revolution / Combo Guard: Earlier this week Drexel's coaching staff attended Archbishop Wood's open gym to watch Reed. He will take an official visit to the Drexel campus this weekend. Reed has a growing pile of offers, but Drexel was on him early and has stayed active in his recruiting.

[player_tooltip player_id='2424034' first='Semaj' last='Stone'] – 6'2″ / 2027 / Archbishop Ryan / [program_tooltip program_id='2078682' first='K-Low' last='Elite'] / Point Guard: For months there was speculation as to where this highly sought after floor general would attend high school. A couple of weeks ago Archbishop Ryan was rumored to be Stone's landing spot. That rumor was confirmed this past weekend when Stone took the court for AR at the Never Forget Classic.

[player_tooltip player_id='2195052' first='Tyler' last='Sutton'] – 6'2” / 2027 / George School / NJ Scholars Elite / Combo Guard: One of the most talented and decorated ninth grade backcourt prospects on the east coast has added another offer to his growing pile. The latest is an offer from ACC contender Miami.

SEPA Recent Commitments:

[player_tooltip player_id='1589269' first='Nyle' last='Ralph-Beyer'] – 6'4” / 2024 / WC Henderson / [program_tooltip program_id='2078678' first='East' last='Coast Power'] / Wing: From April through July, Ralph-Beyer was one of the biggest 2024 stock risers in the region. Yesterday he chose Sacred Heart University from among a list of offers that also included Hampton, Rider, Mount St. Mary's, and North Carolina A&T. This past weekend at the Never Forget Classic, Ralph-Beyer poured in 36 points vs. Archbishop Carroll. SHU is getting an athletic wing who can score at all three levels.

[player_tooltip player_id='1123886' first='Amir' last='Williams'] – 6'5″ / 2024 / Neumann-Goretti / [program_tooltip program_id='2078709' first='Team' last='Final'] EYBL / Wing: After a monster July circuit, Williams experienced a surge in his recruiting. Last weekend he took an official visit to Hofstra. Williams (10 ppg. & 4 rpg.) must have really liked what he saw on campus because on Wednesday morning he gave his verbal commitment to the Pride.

[player_tooltip player_id='991421' first='Ryan' last='Williams'] – 6'3″ / 2024 / Malvern Prep / [program_tooltip program_id='2078697' first='Philly' last='Pride'] UAA / Shooting Guard: After an epic July circuit and then being named MVP of the “A-Town Throwdown” in early August, Williams received a flood of DI offers. This morning Williams announced via Instagram that he had picked Northeastern University from among those offers. Williams sits at No. 18 in our Class of 2024 prospect rankings.

Simon Dlugi – 6'8″ / 2024 / Pennsbury / [program_tooltip program_id='2078678' first='East' last='Coast Power'] / Power Forward: Dlugi tipped off his breakout summer in June by playing outstanding basketball at both Philly HS Live sessions. His recruiting stock continued to rise during the July circuit. The result of his extraordinary play over the summer was that earlier this week Dlugi announced via social media that he had committed to York College (D3).

[player_tooltip player_id='1477725' first='Carter' last='Horst'] – 6'1″ / 2024 / Warwick / York Ballers / Shooting Gard: Then on Wednesday York College also added a true two-way backcourt prospect when Horst verballed to the D3 program. He averaged 13.5 ppg. to go along with 7 rpg. last season. After the 2022-23 season Horst was also a Lebanon-Lancaster League 1st Team All-Defense selection.

Colin Treude – 6'5″ / 2024 / Springfield / PSB Philly / Power Forward: York College (D3) hit the SEPA trifecta when Treude recently gave the program his verbal commitment. In 2022-23 Treude was the starting big man on a Springfield team that featured a perimeter-focused offense. This summer Treude ascended to the No. 1 option. His impact was felt immediately as Treude scored 31 points against Pocono Mountain West and 18 vs. Constitution during Philly HS Live S2.
