Continue ReadingPH NorCal was at the Pro-West Exposure Camp in Walnut Creek CA. The Tice Community Recreation Center. Approximately 130 prospects from NorCal competed in two days of basketball, Saturday and Sunday September 2-3. Three games played with a top 20, 40, and 60 game for those that played well over the course of the two day event. Here’s our second 10 from the top 20 game.
Antonio Kellogg Jr 6’3 2025 Ygnacio Valley: He’s a long wiry smooth prospect with a quality skill set for both guard position, that makes him a quality combo guard for now. He’s willing and knows how to run the point, he involves others with his vision and passing. His deceptive speed allows him to slip by defenders. He’ll knock down 3’s off the dribble as well as pull-up on the dime for short jumpers. He has the lengthy arms and will to defend. Consistency is key for this rising prospect.
Blake Bastani Blake Bastani 6'4" | SG New Hampton | 2026 State CA-N 6’4 2026 Miramonte: He showed consistency shooting and making 3pt shots in the 2 day event. His ability to knock down the 3ptr earned him a spot in the top 20 game. When he’s locked in, and focused, he has to be accounted for. He’ll hit corner catch 3’s, come down in transition, and square up on the perimeter with form and good release.
Drew Chi-Emekea Vixon 6’4 2025 Liberty: You can make the case that Vixon was one of the more explosive, and athletic players in the gym. He’ll fill lanes looking to finish with power dunks. His handle and speed makes him tough to deal with in space. His jump shot could use some polishing, nonetheless he’s strong and explosive going up around the basket. He rebounds.
Evan McKnight Evan McKnight 6'10" | C Ygnacio Valley | 2024 State CA-N 6’10 2024 Ygnacio Valley. He’s one of the few standing 6’10 in NorCal. He’s a good passer when double teamed on the low and mid-post area, using his vision to spot shooters in the corner, and cutters into the paint. He has good fundamentals, he can hit short jumpers, and jump hooks in the paint. He has presence in the paint on defense, he’ll get his rebounds. His hands and body could use some strengthening.
Rashod Cotton Rashod Cotton 6'2" | CG Modesto Christian | 2026 State CA-N 6’2 2026 Modesto Christian: He’s a savvy ball handling guard who can play both guard positions. He’s comfortable using his dribble, and moves to create his shot opportunities off the ball. He tends to make the tough shot with a hand in his face, and defenders close up, floaters, and short jumpers. He’s shown he can be a distributor, with good passing in transition, and along the perimeter. He’s a scoring threat.
Rodney Westmoreland Rodney Westmoreland 6'1" | PG Santa Margarita | 2026 State CA-S 5’11 2026 Dougherty Valley: Moreland didn’t play on Saturday. He’s one of NorCals more polished point guards in the 2026 class. He wasted no time showing us on Sunday his point guard skills. Settling the offense in half-court, using his handles, speed, and vision to find others in transition and penetrate drives into the paint. He had solid passing up court with a few impressive long bounce passes. He’s quick off the dribble for short jumpers.
Loyal Morris Loyal Morris 6'1" | SF Ygnacio Valley | 2024 State CA-N 6’2 2024 Ygnacio Valley: Standing just 6’2 Morris could possibly be one of the most effective players in the paint at 6’2 in NorCal. He has excellent bounce to go up and finish off two feet around the rim. He has the power to go up through contact and finish to get his shot off over bigger players. He’s a slasher and a cutter. He tells me he’s been working on his ball handling and perimeter game away from the basket.
Kellen Hampton Kellen Hampton 6'7" | SF Southern California Academy | 2025 #120 Nation CA-S 6’7 2025 Southern California Academy: Hampton was one of NorCal’s top 2025 prospects at Moreau Catholic before transferring to SoCal this Spring. He’s grown a few inches, strengthened his body. He continues to polish his skill set away from the basket. His handles are tight, he had good drives inside for points in the paint, using length and strength to finish around the rim. He spots up well behind the 3pt line.
Ahjani Lewis Ahjani Lewis 6'3" | PG Jesuit | 2024 State CA-N 6’3 2024 Jesuit: A competitive combo guard with good ball handling skills, he’s capable of running the point, but looks comfortable and more aggressive when he’s off the ball looking to create shot opportunities for himself off the dribble. He’s not afraid to challenge defenders in the paint. He has a good pull-up jump shot and range to knock down 3’s. Consistency is key for him.
Sincere Hudson 6’0 2027 Inderkum: He was the lone Freshman selected for the top 20 game amongst this quality group. We’ll have more on him with the 2027 Prospects from this event.
Brandon Gibson Brandon Gibson 6'5" | SF Monterey Trail | 2024 State CA-N Jr 6’4 2024 Monterey Trail: He always bring a good level on intensity to the court. He’s an improving player who’s getting stronger, and improving his overall skill set. He’s handling well in open court, seeing and making quality passes up court. He uses hard dribbles and his body to get into the paint for jumpers and strong finishes through contact. His 3pt shot is better. He’ll defend hard and get his fair share of rebounds. He played in the top 40 and 20 games.
