Saturday’s Top250Expo Event provided student-athletes the opportunity to showcase their skills and compete against top talent in front of PH Scouts. Let’s get into our Top Prospect Standouts from throughout the event this weekend in Longwood, FL.
#614 – The Yeager brothers were on a mission this weekend in Longwood, FL and finished as two of my top standouts throughout the Top250 event. Donny Yeager showed off his ability to be a consistent knockdown shooter from deep range, but it was the tight handles and him keeping his head up to find open teammates that solidified his overall game. Don’t sleep on his defense as he provided solid effort on that side of the ball as well.
Highlights
#657 – The next brother to complete the Yeager duo was MJ who is now stamped as a deadly scoring threat. No matter the long trip, there was no jet lag in his jump shot on Saturday. He’s a sniper from behind the arc who showed confidence to get it done in iso sets or working off the ball. MJ is a solid finisher around the rim as well and was really active against opposing guards on defense, finishing as one of my top standouts regardless of position.

Babacar Diop
Babacar Diop
#688 – There were few prospects of note with upside to potentially play D1 ball and Diop was certainly one of them after watching him finish easy buckets at the rim with incredible athleticism and body control. He also showed off menace tendencies on the defensive end by creating steals with his longer frame at 6-6. Diop is a speed demon with the rock and was able to force the defense to collapse when driving where he would find open teammates. Nice showing from Diop this weekend as he should see an uptick in college interest this fall season with Jordan Christian Prep.
Talon Brooks
Talon Brooks
#678 – It was nice to finally get my eyes on Talon Brooks and I came away impressed with his deadeye sniper shooting from behind the arc and overall ability to score with or without the ball. In game one, he pulled up from deep range to start the matchup and I had my eyes on him since. It wasn’t just solid shooting, but he can also take his defender to the rim and finish strong on iso sets or in transition. He has a decent frame at 6-3 with good upside to play at the next level.
Danilo Stankovic
Danilo Stankovic
#693 – Likely the most surprising athlete on my list is the 6-7 Wing/Forward prospect Danilo Stankovic playing for Jordan Christian Prep this fall season. It was the frame that popped out instantly, but when watching him move up and down the court on both ends of the ball while capitalizing on steals with dunks and easy layups was when I stamped him as the real deal. He also showed his shooting ability, but the toughness and consistent effort is what stood out most. He can surely generate some interest around his recruitment heading into his senior season.
#696 – The prospect with the most upside was hands down Diamant Blazi who stood out amongst other attendants this weekend with an incredible frame that any college coach would be willing to work with. Blazi pushed the floor well and beat opposing defenders at the rim to finish layups or catch alleys with his arm length and athletic jumping ability. He can do it all on the offense end: shoot threes – draws fouls – and isn’t out of control when running offensive sets. His defensive effort was to note as well as he had a couple blocks off the backboard.

Willie Thompson
Willie Thompson
#689 – My big man standout of the event despite likely playing out of position was Willie Thompson who was simply eating in the paint on Saturday. Thompson was a machine on the offensive end as he set up teammates with hard screen and rolls and finished his chances at the rim with powerful dunks. He’s a developing wing prospect that will have his opportunity once again to eat this fall season with Holy Trinity. Good competitive showing from Thompson this weekend, earning his name on the top standout list.
