The 20th annual installment of the event brought together around 200 prospects form 13 different states and featured two of California’s best sophomores. Below we break down some of the top performers from the 2026 class.
Ja’Vance Coleman, Fresno Bullard
Coleman is a strong and explosive combo guard prospect whose ability to fill up the scoring column in a variety of ways was on full display. The 6-foot-1 sophomore was knocking down perimeter jumpers from all over the floor Saturday night but was at his best when getting downhill and to the rim where he absorbed and finished through contact. Mark Coleman down as one of the best prospects in Central California for the 2026 class.
Braeden Davidson Braeden Davidson 6'3" | SG Crean Lutheran | 2026 State CA-S , Crean Lutheran
Davidson was in a great flow over the weekend and showed some flashes that he’s more than just a shooter – even though that’s what he does really well. The 6-foot-3 shooting guard has an effortless three-point shooting stroke with deep range from multiple spots of the floor. It was good to see him be aggressive in transition when attacking the basket for high percentage buckets for himself or dishing to an open teammate.
Rokiem Green, Dream City Christian (AZ)
Green established himself as one of the most versatile scorers in this event. The wiry 6-foot-2 guard showed his elite change of speed and direction off the bounce which allowed him to get into the lane and finish with a floater or crafty finish around the basket. The native of Canada has a smooth pull-up jumper that he can get to with limited dribbles thanks to his quick first step and balance in stop-and-pop situations.
Maximus VanLaningham, Woodcreek
The 6-foot-9 forward/center was a near-unstoppable force in the painted area due to his combination of size and strength to go along with his hands, touch, footwork and willingness to command space around the rim. VanLaningham made a killing as a rim-runner in transition and took advantage of a lack of defensive awareness on the break to capitalize on easy baskets at the rim. The sophomore also stepped out and knocked down some face-up perimeter shots, as well.
Drew Anderson, Santa Margarita
Anderson is one of the biggest stock-risers in SoCal’s 2026 class this fall. The 6-foot-7 wing/forward is starting to establish a translatable skill-set to the next level with his ability to knock down catch and shoot three-pointers and attack the rim on straight-line drives. Anderson is a high IQ passer and playmaker, doesn’t force the issue offensively and looks to make the right basketball play.
