Oklahoma Top 250 Expo: Top Playmakers

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Oklahoma Top 250 Expo took place on Sunday, September 24 in Edmond, Oklahoma. It featured some of the top high school talent from across the state. Out of all of the elite talent that was at the event, this article is highlighting the top shooters from the event. He is a reliable shooter from the outside and can get to the rim for two. He excelled at driving gaps and kicking to an open shooter or hitting a cutter with a well-placed pass for an assist. He racked up several assist throughout the course of the event, while still showing the ability to take over in big moments to create opportunities for himself. On the defensive end, he played great defense and was able to force several turnovers and steals. His on-ball defense and hustle were things that contributed to helping his team's success, but was not reflected in the box score. He rebounded well, shot the ball exceptionally, finished at the basket, but he also made nice passes to set his teammates up. You would not know that just by looking at his statistics, because his teammates missed open shots under the basket or near the rim. There was one play that he fired a nice pass in between two defenders to an open teammate, who missed the wide-open layup. This sums up the several missed shots that should have been an assist. He has good court vision and the skills to dominate the game in several areas. This is a player to keep an eye on that is going under the radar. He filled it up with his scoring and rebounding, but also with his playmaking. He had games that he recorded eight assist and 11 assist. He has a quick first step and can get to the rim or cause the defense to break down as he attacks the gap. Whenever he would attack the gap and the defense would collapse, he would kick out to an open shooter. He also has good court vision and would hit a cutter right in stride. He has good timing with his passes and they are always right on the mark. As a guard, he resembled Josh Giddey with how he plays. He can knock down a shot or score at the rim in traffic, but he casually comes up with rebounds and a knack for being a playmaker. He showed the ability to grab a rebound and to knock down a three. Multiple times, he grabbed a defensive rebound or came up with a steal and would push the pace. As he pushed the pace, he would hit a teammate for an assist. This happened and led to a three pointer for his team multiple times, but it also led to an easy two as he would hit the cutter in transition. He showed to be a willing passer and has a high motor to go with it. He was not afraid to take a challenge on the defensive side to force turnovers or come away with steals. He scored inside multiple times and after grabbing a rebound, he showed the ability to throw outlet passes. There were times that he would drive the gap and finish at the rim. If the defense collapsed on him, he showed the vision to find the open man. There were a few times that he did this and his teammate missed the open jumper. He flashed the ability to playmake, rebound, and finish inside in the game I saw him play.
