Competing at the 2023 IA Top 250 Expo were 90+ players, separated into 12 different teams. As well as being a scout in the building for the day, I was also a coach on Court 3. I had the privilege of coaching Team 6, a handful of times throughout the event, giving me an inside look as to what each player excels at individually and what they need work on moving forward. I will be listing each player by their jersey number assigned at the event (for video purposes if someone wants to look back on BallerTV), name, current height, current position, & the high school they are currently attending.

#404 - [player_tooltip player_id='2204888' first='Octavio' last='Velasco'] - 2026 - 5'6 - PG - WACO High School

[player_tooltip player_id='2204888' first='Octavio' last='Velasco'] is slowly putting his game together. Velasco is a smaller point guard that understands the fundamentals of the game but just needs a little more experience implying them into actual game situations. He is a great teammate and a harder work on both ends of the court. If he stays dedicated and works on the right things, it will definitely help him and his chances of seeing the varsity floor one day at Waco. There are a lot of things he did good on the floor on Sunday and he just needs to work off of that moving forward!

#420 - LaKaden Chestnut - 2025 - 5'11 - X - Ankeny High School

I would say that LaKaden Chestnut is a glue guy. Someone out there on the court, who can step up and handle the ball or he can play off of it and still help his team out in a big way. Overall, he has a positive attitude that is contagious to the individuals around him. On Sunday he showed glimpses of some skill mixed with his length and speed coming down the floor. I'll be interested what he can do at Ankeny high school this winter. If he keeps it simple. he can do some productive things for his squad.

#425 - [player_tooltip player_id='1454905' first='Sage' last='Suntken'] - 2024 - 6'0 - SG - West Fork High School

A player that I did not know too much about before Sunday was [player_tooltip player_id='1454905' first='Sage' last='Suntken']. Suntken is a fundamental shooter, who is always ready to let it go for a jump shot. He displays balance, coordination, and solid footwork on the catch, with the ability to drive it to the hoop for a better look if the defense over plays him. Other than that, Suntken does a great job of listening and adapting to situations. He is a team player that is always willing to make the extra pass even though he can really shoot it and that speaks volumes about his character.

#431 - [player_tooltip player_id='2230497' first='Sir' last='Harris'] - 2025 - 6'1 - SG - Hempstead High School

[player_tooltip player_id='2230497' first='Sir' last='Harris'] displayed his scoring ability on Court 3 on Sunday. Harris stands at around 6'1 with some muscle mass to pair along with that. In most of his successful situations, Harris was pulling up from deep over defenders. With his size and athleticism, I think he could really use that to his advantage against smaller opponents, inside the lane. This winter I will be keeping my eye on this Hempstead high school team. They have some interesting prospects, [player_tooltip player_id='2230497' first='Sir' last='Harris'] being included in that conversation.

#442 - Kale Frank - 2025 - 6'1 - SG/CG - Emmetsburg High School

A player that did a little bit of everything on Sunday was Kale Frank. Frank is a 6'1 SG/CG that was flying all over the court, in hopes of helping his team secure the victory in their game. He really does everything pretty well. He isn't a player that is going to beat you with flashy, but with his sneaky lengthy and knowledge of when to put the ball up over alike sized defenders. Frank has a fundamental base as a player and that's something that he can build on moving forward.

#471 - [player_tooltip player_id='2204869' first='Giovanny' last='Quiles'] - 2026 - 6'2 - X - Dowling Catholic High School

[player_tooltip player_id='2204869' first='Giovanny' last='Quiles'] keeps things basic when he is out there competing on the floor. He moves off of the ball at a high rate, in attempts to get open for a clean look from deep or to catch and fly by his defender for a midrange floater. Defensively, Quiles has some reach at 6'2 and that helps him get a lot of tips and deflections throughout a game. There were a lot of positives to take away on Sunday for Quiles and he should be proud of that.

#473 - [player_tooltip player_id='1171681' first='Jonovan' last='Wilkinson'] - 2024 - 6'2 - PG/SG - Roland Story High School

One of the most well rounded players that competed on Court 3 on Sunday was [player_tooltip player_id='1171681' first='Jonovan' last='Wilkinson']. Wilkinson is smooth and crafty with the basketball in his hands, while being a good enough player to move to the 2 position at any moment. He can score from all three levels, he can create and distribute off of the dribble, and he stays in front of his man on defense a majority of the time. Roland-Story is always in the Playoff conversation each year as of recent, Wilkinson will be a big part of that talk this season if they put together another nice run to end their year.

#497 - [player_tooltip player_id='1951832' first='Cael' last='Reichter'] - 2025 - 6'7 - F - North Fayette Valley High School

[player_tooltip player_id='1951832' first='Cael' last='Reichter'] was a top player on Court 3 when he competed at this Expo. Reichter stands at 6'7 and he can MOVE. He is agile getting down the floor with the ability to spread the defense out to the perimeter within any offense he is participating in. He is dominate over smaller players down low, while having length over most who match-up with him, big or small in general. Reichter has potential to play at the next level if he continues to work hard. He has all the intangibles, he just needs to tighten up some skill-set things and he could produce on a college floor in the right system.
