For today’s spotlight, we take a look at the Plainfield Quakers.
Quick Hitters

- Lost to Brownsburg in Sectionals
- 7-straight winning seasons
- Andy Weaver returns for 12 year as head coach. 369-294 overall record.
Top Player: Eli Ellis Eli Ellis 5'11" | SG Plainfield | 2024 State IN
There may not have been a bigger stock riser in the in-state 2024 class than Eli Ellis Eli Ellis 5'11" | SG Plainfield | 2024 State IN this past summer as the guy put on a clinic for Kyle Guy Elite Black on the Prep Hoops Circuit. He is not the biggest guard in the world but he is one of the best pure shotmakers in the state. He can flat out fill it up from beyond the arc. Comes into the season with offers from Culver-Stockton, Franklin, Hanover, Saint Mary of the Woods and will likely get more as the year goes on. Keep an eye on Ellis.
Potential Breakout Player: Noah Smith Noah Smith 6'7" | SF Plainfield | 2026 State IN
Smith is a 2026 wing that you need to get familiar with. He has excellent size and length on the perimeter at 6’7″, handles the ball like a guard, and can shoot it at a pretty high-level as well. Is coming off a big year for Grand Park Premier which should translate well into the high school season. Lot of upside with Smith and this is the year he breaks out.
Other Important Roster Members
- Collin Schmidt – Schmidt was a player that could have easily been placed in either of the top two categories. The 6’6″ forward was great all summer long showcasing his ability to handle the ball out on the perimeter, score in the mid-range, and use his height to finish around the basket.
- Chris Arvanitis Chris Arvanitis 6'3" | SF Plainfield | 2025 IN – Arvanitis is a 6’2 wing that is a little under-the-radar however he has some impressive physical tools. Arvanitis is dangerous in transition, gets to the rim in a straight line off of the dribble, and rebounds his position well. Underrated piece of the Plainfield roster.
Notable Games (Confirmed)
- at Carmel (12/2)
- at Zionsville (12/9)
- Kokomo Tournament (12/22)
- at Terre Haute North (2/1)
- at Center Grove (2/10)
