In this series, we will be a look at some quick hitters, the top player, potential breakout player, other roster roster members and notable games of the upcoming season. For today’s spotlight, we take a look at the NorthWood Panthers
Quick Hitters
- Finished 28-2 last season.
- Won Class 3A State Finals beating Guerin Catholic
- Four-straight winning seasons
- Aaron Wolfe returns for 17th year as head coach. 281-110 record overall.
Top Player: Tyler Raasch Tyler Raasch 6'8" | C NorthWood | 2025 State IN
Raasch returns as the without-a-doubt No 1. option for the NorthWood Panthers this season. The 6’8″ Raasch center’s long term potential is what saw his stock really take a rise as his skills are already starting to develop and has a couple of Crossroads League offers to show for it. Raasch is a very good shot blocker, runs the floor well, and has burgeoning offensive ability. With all the stars for NorthWood now gone, look for Raasch to takeover and lead the Panthers. He will be one of the top bigs in the state before the end of the season.
Potential Breakout Player: Ethan Wolfe Ethan Wolfe 5'11" | PG NorthWood | 2024 IN
Wolfe is one of the more under-the-radar players in the state and is expected to see a major increase in his role next season. He does a great job handling the ball in the backcourt and was such unselfish player when setting up his teammates for success the past few seasons. This upcoming season, he is expected to be one of the ‘go-to’ guys for the Panthers and will be a nice complement for Raasch. Last season, the 5’11 lead guard shot 38.4% from beyond the arc while averaging 7.0 points and 3.6 assists per game. Those numbers will go up this season.
