In this series, we will be a look at some quick hitters, the top player, potential breakout player, other roster roster members and notable games of the upcoming season. For today’s spotlight, we take a look at the Chesterton Trojans.
Quick Hitters
- Finished 20-6 last season
- Lost to Penn in Regionals
- 11-straight winning seasons
- Marc Urban returns for 8th year as head coach. 144-37 overall record as coach for the Trojans.
Top Player: Tyler Parrish Tyler Parrish 6'3" | SG Chesterton | 2024 State IN
Parrish comes into this season are arguably the best uncommitted shooting guard in the in-state 2024 class. Parrish earned Indiana Junior All-Star “Core” Team honors last season after averaging over 20 points per game for Chesterton. At his position, Parrish has a great motor and is so naturally athletic. He is an excellent three-point shooter as well as also good at getting to the rim. He should have a great senior season for Chesterton.
Potential Breakout Player:

Sims has always seemed to be a guy you are just waiting to breakout with all the potential he has shown during his high school career. At 6’6, Sims is a versatile forward is athletic and has some good strength. He is also extremely good at rebounding and attacking the lanes. For me, it has always been about his motor with it being consistent. If the motor is 100% all the time, I believe he will finally be able to prove his worth to college coaches at all levels. There is not a more ‘potential breakout player’ in this series than
Justin Sims

Other Important Roster Members
-
Logan Pokorney
Logan Pokorney 6'4" | SG Chesterton | 2026 State IN – The 6’3″ guard should see a major increase in production for the Trojans. He bullies defenders off of the dribble with his size and strength when getting to the rim and is able to drive it in a straight line down the lane lines going both directions and finish off of two feet with both his right and left hand. Lot of upside here.
Notable Games (Confirmed)
- vs Penn (12/22)
- at Lake Central (1/26)
- at Portage (2/9)
