Binion is a big guard that spent most of the afternoon playing point and did so effectively. He's got such a great feel for operating in the pick and roll, consistently making the right reads. He loves to compete on both ends too. On several occasions, we saw Weaver challenge big-name prospects at the rim and win. He's an incredible athlete that loves to compete above the rim. The rest of his game has come a long way too though as he's now shooting the 3 at a high clip and capable of initiating offense. Not only did Griffin win the three-point contest, he tallied an impressive number of threes throughout the 5v5 portion. What I love about Griffin is that he knows his role and understands how to excel in it. He's constantly hunting open looks and showed some flashes of pesky defense on the other end. Weems has a strong build and a tight handle, both of which will help him transition into the full-time point guard role at Dutchtown. He shoots it really well off the bounce and that's where he scores a lot of his points. On Sunday, Graves took home the 1v1 trophy for the 9th grade division and emerged as one of the top freshman throughout the 5v5 games. Graves is a knockdown shooter from beyond the arc and possesses some craftiness around the rim too.
