Here’s a look at some more fresh faces.
Dove was good throughout the weekend, however he came up big in the championship game. In a back and forth affair, the 2026 shooter, hit two big threes to swing the momentum of the game, eventually giving his HBA squad the win.
Highlights
Pound for pound Townsend was one of the toughest players I saw on the day. The guard can handle, pass, and shoot effectively, however it was his willingness to take the tough shot for his team as well as make the big play. The downhill, driving guard, finished through contact, throughout the day.

I’m not exactly sure what Phillips is going to do when he plays, however I know something’s going to happen. The aggressive wiry wing was all over the place. He grabbed tough out of area rebounds, crashed into opponents on drives, and sacrificed life and limb to save the ball.
Santana stood out with his activity and signature skill. He was all over the court, using a quick first jump to get off the ground and grab rebounds. His energy and effort was palpable and he contributed with several putbacks and transition buckets.
Yakubik is a player that competed. He showed that he’s a willing versatile defender, switching out onto multiple offensive players. He plays hard, and his length was a problem for offensive players.
Gill has a college ready frame, and is effective with the ball in his hands. The transfer from Venice, showed that he can score the ball when attacking downhill, and was able to create for himself in 1 v 1 situations.
When it comes to a signature skill, Mcglothan has a very specific one. I swear I never saw the lefty miss, when he shot the ball from the left corner. It got to the point where all I needed to know was where the shot was coming from, to know who had made it.
The big man made himself known by making the game simple. He caught and finished around the rim at a high level. He looks to add depth to Green Valley this season.
Verba is your prototypical lunch pale, hard hat guy. The forward seemed to grab every rebound, and win every 50/50, en route to helping his Team Vegas squad to a championship.
