Continue ReadingNow a sophomore at Johns Creek, Thomas Landeck Thomas Landeck 6’6″ | SF Johns Creek | 2026 State GA looks ready to lead this Gladiators squad into a region that looks wide open. Landeck provides good size and versatility at 6’6 while he’s also skilled enough to be the primary playmaker and generate offense. He’s more than capable from the three-point line and will punish defenders that are slow to put a hand up. We’re now seeing Landeck’s confidence at an all-time high as he seems to have embraced the new role. Landeck will certainly be one to keep tabs on this season.
Eagles Landing enters the 2023-2024 season with a much different look after graduating David Thomas and several other key pieces but a strong 2026 class will help keep them in contention. Maddox Melancon Maddox Melancon 6’5″ | SF Eagle’s Landing | 2026 State GA will play a crucial role and I expect his numbers to make a major jump from year one to year two. Melancon’s strength and physicality have always stood out, a handful for most seniors even. We saw him playing more like a guard throughout June as well and I think we’ll see more of that perimeter skillset throughout the season.
Highlights
Cooper Glover Cooper Glover 6’4″ | CG Cherokee Bluff | 2026 State GA has been high on our board ever since he stole the show at last year’s PH Freshman Showcase. Glover now enters his sophomore year at Cherokee Bluff where he’ll have more opportunity and a solid squad around him. He’s a talented playmaker with the ball in his hands and will always find his points in one way or another but Glover’s motor and defense are always impactful. I have a feeling we’ll be hearing a lot more of this name in the years to come.
High hopes surround JJ Winston JJ Winston 6’3″ | SG Rome | 2026 State GA this year as he makes the jump from JV at Rome to likely starting varsity at Cass. Throughout fall league, Winston has emerged as a strong second scoring option next to Jayden Foster and Winston’s shooting ability could really burn defenses that collapse on Foster’s penetration. Much like the older Foster, Winston is a gifted athlete that can play above the rim. The ceiling is high for Winston as he’ll continue to grow and fill out in time.
There seems to be a lot of positivity surrounding the Woodstock program entering year 1 under coach Eric Blair and while he’s only a sophomore, JJ Feuerstein JJ Feuerstein 5’8″ | PG Woodstock | 2026 State GA will be one of the undisputed leaders. Feuerstein now has a year of experience under his belt after being thrown into the fire as a freshman and he’s shown a new level of comfort and confidence throughout the spring. He shoots the three at a high clip, able to knock them down off the bounce and heat up quickly. Feuerstein’s profile should continue to rise over the next several months.
