Shon Abaev, A 6-7 junior is an absolute scoring machine who can score in a variety of ways whether it’s at the front of the rim or from beyond the arc. Abaev is very creative when he has the basketball in his hands whether he can facilitate or shoot it at a high level. He is considered one of the highly touted wings in the state regardless of class year, as his potential has continued to skyrocket. He was named to the All-Pangos American Camp First Team as well as shine at the NBPA Top 100 Camp over the summer. Abaev has offers from Auburn, Creighton, Dayton, Florida, Florida Gulf Coast and several others.
The 6-0 junior combo guard shows a lot of toughness and physicality at the guard position, whether it’s getting to the rim or his playmaking. Knowles is an excellent passer and displays great court vision every time he steps onto the floor and makes the smart plays. On the defensive end, he is very active when he is guarding on the ball and is unafraid to step into the lane to take a charge. Knowles helped lead Mater Lakes Academy to the school’s first state title in school history last season as a sophomore.
The 6-5 rising junior guard has the chance to make a lot of noise as he is fully healthy after a de-railed sophomore season limited him. Able can produce and impact the game in a variety of ways where he uses his three-level scoring ability as a huge threat. On the defensive side, Able can defend multiple positions and use his length guarding against bigger players. Able has received offers from Georgia State, Jacksonville and New Mexico State so far in the early stages of his recruitment process.
The 6-4 junior guard has a scorer’s mentality as he can finish efficiently on either side of the rim, as well as continue to improve his jump shot. Washington also adds good length, size and moves around really well with and without the basketball in his hands. He is also stepping up and becoming a better defender as he is often guarding out on the perimeter but has the intangibles to guard on the interior as well. Look for Washington to gain more college interest as he continues to get stronger and acclimated with his new teammates at Orlando Christian Prep this season.
Romari Robinson, A 6-6 junior guard who plays with a ton of athleticism and energy on both ends of the floor scoring on either side of the rim and has grown his outside game. On the defensive end, he provides good rim protection and shot blocking abilities where he rarely allows the opposition from getting a second look. On the offensive end, Robinson can score in transition as he is exceptionally quick getting the basketball up the floor. Robinson currently holds offers from FIU and Florida Gulf Coast.
