Barber is an electric two-way point guard who knows how to make an impact on both ends of the hardwood. He comes into his senior season for Jacksonville High after averaging 12.6 PPG, 3.9 APG, 3.4 RPG and 1.8 SPG in 2022-23. He’s a scrappy floor general who can do a little bit of everything to impact the game. William Peace recently offered him. He remains an unsigned senior floor general who can operate on both ends for DII and DIII programs to get eyes on in the Jacksonville area.
David Ellis II David Ellis II 6’8″ | C Wilson Prep | 2024 State NC is due to make waves in 2023-24 following a strong performance in last year’s state title game. He played like a man possessed, showcasing his two-way abilities in the painted area with 14 points, 19 rebounds, five blocks, two assists and two steals on 6-for-7 shooting from the field in their NCHSAA State Title game. Voorhees College is the latest school to offer him as he heads into a big senior season with Wilson Prep. DII and DIII programs would be wise to get eyes on him this season.
Highlights
Skogen is a name out of the Western region of the state due to play a bigger role for his squad as an unsigned senior. He’s a 6-foot-5 versatile presence who showed he could hold his own on the rebounding front at Murphy High this past season. He snagged 10.8 RPG across 24 appearances for his squad as a junior and will look to act as an anchor once again as an unsigned senior prospect in the frontcourt.
Pettit is an emerging sharpshooter in the 2024 class out of South Granville High to get eyes on. He’s due to provide quite the support on the wing for the Vikings after posting 99 made 3-pointers on 16.3 PPG this past season. He knocked down 3.2 3-pointers per game on 39 percent shooting as a junior. Look for him to produce at a higher level in 2023-24.
Minter is another underrated sharpshooter with more to prove in the 2024 class as an unsigned senior prospect. He knocked down 92 3-pointers to the tune of 14.0 PPG this past season at Wilson Prep this season. He knocked down 3-pointers at a clip of 36 percent while making 2.8 per contest. Look for his production to grow as he looks to close things out with another state title for the Tigers.
