Leading up to their senior seasons, these are some of the top guard prospects in the 2024 class that made big impressions this summer. A lot of them are stepping into bigger roles and will be some of the top guys on their respective squads. Take a look at some of the biggest guard stock risers in this edition of the 2024 class rankings update.

[player_tooltip player_id='1450500' first='Jamari' last='Harris'] Garfield

Previous Rank: 34

When I watch Harris his athleticism is the first thing that jumps out. He's listed at 6-foot-5, but with his burst, bounce, and length, he plays like he's a couple of inches taller. He's able to burst up from the gaps to jump passes high on the perimeter, he rises up high to snag rebounds, and he's a high-flyer at the rim. He can really glide across the court and covers a lot of ground quickly. He'll be a huge add for Garfield this winter as the Bulldogs look to repeat as 3A champs.

[player_tooltip player_id='1837762' first='Caleb' last='Berry'] Todd Beamer

Previous Rank: 57

Berry wasn't on my radar last season but it didn't take long to see his potential after seeing him up close this summer. His shooting range is the most exciting part of his game and he's capable of pulling up from way behind the arc. But he's really developed into a complete point guard, working defenses with his dribble, attacking gaps, keeping the dribble alive, and making smart cuts and fills off the ball. He also works really well with his bigs and should be a standout in the NPSL this season for a Beamer team that finished last year 16-8.

[player_tooltip player_id='1450575' first='Ishe' last='Kanhukamwe'] Garfield

Previous Rank: 52

He's one of the top on-ball defenders at his position with his elite quickness and eyes to anticipate ballhandlers and harass them for the length of the court. What's helped him rise is his progress on the offensive end. He's a bursty player who can get to the rim but he's harnessed that speed to get defenders on their heels and excel with his pull-up game. He's also continued to improve from beyond the arc and up his scoring this year.

[player_tooltip player_id='1612215' first='Darius' last='Wilcher'] Rainier Beach

Previous Rank: 68

Wilcher is a rock-solid guard who excels with good footwork and quick, compact moves to create space for his shot. The jumper has looked more consistent and he has the strength with the ball to hold off defenders on drives, absorb contact in the paint, and finish through defenders at the rim. Beach will be a tough team again this season and Wilcher should play a big role for the Vikings.

[player_tooltip player_id='1612208' first='Jalen' last='Dollar'] Roosevelt

Previous Rank: 111

Dollar was outstanding this summer acting as the lead man for Roosevelt, orchestrating the offense with a good blend of passing and scoring. He's able to set up teammates all over the floor, not just with his passes, but by being vocal and getting guys in the right spots. As for scoring, he's a guy that can space the floor and hit long-range shots late in the clock but also has good speed with the ball and can finish over taller guys at the rim.

[player_tooltip player_id='1450610' first='Caden' last='Culver'] Skyline

Previous Rank: 85

Culver is in a similar mold as Dollar, just a leader from the top on both ends who gets his guys in good spots and can create looks in a lot of ways. Culver has a really sound foundation as a point, protecting the dribble, keeping his eyes up and scanning, and attacking gaps to draw defenders. He sets the tone for Skyline and will be a big factor in how their season goes.
