Donnie Freeman, A 6-9 senior center and Syracuse commit who can do it all. Freeman is an elite scorer, rebounder and shot blocker. On the defensive side, Freeman plays with a ton of versatility where he can guard multiple positions and uses a ton of length where he can defend either the perimeter or on the interior. On the offensive end he has improved his IQ and create his own shot off the bounce.
Ian Smikle, A 6-9 senior center with a big frame and plays a traditional back-to-the-basket as well as create his own shot off the bounce and catch. He is a big threat on the glass at both ends of the floor where he can score at the front of the rim off put-backs as well as a lob threat. Since the start of his junior season, Smikle has also expanded his range and has started to feel more comfortable shooting from the outside. He is also unafraid to finish on the attack against smaller guards.
Emin Kara, A 6-10 senior center comes over to North Broward Prep after playing on the Turkey U17 National squad where he was a force as a rim protector on both ends of the floor. His scoring on the offensive end continues to improve as he can finish around the rim through traffic against multiple opponents.
Olivier Rioux, A 7-5 center has all the intangibles whether it’s his height, length or ability to finish around the rim. Rioux has expanded his game and is more comfortable knocking down shots from outside the paint and has a dangerous attack. On the defensive end, Rioux plays with a ton of physicality and is an elite shot blocker where he averaged over two blocks per game last season in his second season at IMG Academy.
Sylvester Lewis, A 6-9 senior center has a ceiling worth of potential as he can score at all three levels with confidence. He is bouncy on the defensive end as he uses a ton of length whether it’s blocking shots or his high-percentage rebounding. On the offensive end, Lewis plays with an aggressive edge finishing on the attack whether it’s his high-level dunking or scoring off the catch. He has also continued to improve his footwork and handles when he has the basketball in his hands. Lookout for Lewis to have a big senior season this year as he has some growth in his game to become an elite college prospect.
