Julian Rivera Julian Rivera 6'1" | PG Highland | 2025 State VA | 6’2” PG | Highland 2025
Rivera is the epitome of a floor general, as he is willing to do whatever it takes to help his team win and he just makes winning plays on both ends of the floor. While he isn’t the most athletic guy he’s very smart and has the ability to get to spots where he can score it efficiently from multiple levels, he makes great reads and plays with good pace to handle pressure and he is an excellent defender with good instincts that can guard multiple positions.
Jackson Britt Jackson Britt 6'3" | CG Evergreen Christian | 2025 State VA | 6’3” PG | Evergreen Christian 2025
Britt is one of the up and coming young guards in the Nova area on an up and coming team in this Evergreen Christian group, and he’s the guy who stirs the drink for them. At 6’3” he has good size to go along with a great skillset as he has a good handle and is shifty off the bounce, he has good vision and makes great reads when he touches the paint and he’s a very good shooter off the bounce to keep defenses honest.
Kenny Chicas Kenny Chicas 6'2" | PG Woodgrove | 2025 State VA | 6’2” PG | Woodgrove 2025
Chicas had a breakout sophomore season for Woodgrove and will be one of the top guards in Nova this year with his mix of playmaking ability and ability to impact the game on both ends of the floor. He’s a big guard who is strong with the ball and uses his strength to lock up on the ball defensively, he makes good reads in the pick-and-roll as well as in transition and he’s a good shooter both off the catch and off the bounce.
Everett Jones Everett Jones 6'2" | PG Flint Hill | 2025 State VA | 6’2” PG | Flint Hill 2025
Jones has been a great role player for Flint Hill over the past few years, and he’s showing he’ll have a much bigger impact this year with them as he’ll be the point of attack and the main playmaker for them as well. He’s a good ball handler who handles pressure and changes speeds and directions well, he has a good IQ as a playmaker and can make a lot of different reads and he picks his spots and can make shots from multiple levels too.
Jordan Smith Jr. Jordan Smith Jr. 6'3" | CG Paul VI | 2026 State VA | 6’3” CG | Paul VI 2026
Smith may not be known as a floor general as he has so many tools to his game as one of the top young players on the east coast, but his ability to do a little bit of everything and whatever it takes to help his team win makes him one in my opinion. He’s a stalwart defensively who uses his length and athleticism coupled with his high motor to make plays and turn defense into offense, he can create in isolation situations where he touch the paint and make plays for others and he’s very efficient as a scorer from multiple levels.
Anthony Brown Anthony Brown 6'1" | PG Paul VI | 2026 State VA | 6’1” PG | Paul VI 2026
Brown is the young guard on this PVI team that is more of a traditional floor general, as he is a throw back point guard who controls the tempo and makes everyone on the team better. He’s a strong guard who can handle pressure and play through physical defense when he touches the paint, he makes all the passes with either hand, he keeps defenses honest with his shooting and he’s excellent in the pick-and-roll.
