This week, we will take a look at our scouting notes for each individual roster, breaking down this huge crop of talent from around the Pacific Northwest, player-by-player. Here’s a look at Team Six:
Blake Unruh Blake Unruh 6'0" | SG Beaverton | 2027 State OR (2027 Beaverton)
At 5-foot-11, Unruh has decent size for a freshman guard and an effective jump shot from varying ranges. At the showcase, he was an efficient and spotty presence on the offensive end for Team Six.
Ahmed Aballo Ahmed Aballo 6'0" | CG Beaverton | 2027 State OR (2027 Beaverton)
Abalo used his obvious speed and shiftiness to do damage for Team Six, accounting for 14 points in a huge win over Team One to start the day. The 6-foot point guard already plays with good pace and awareness, and his quickness and competitiveness add to his potential on the defensive end as well.
Logan Baerstsch-Kovalchick (2027 Lakeridge)
Baertsch-Kovalchick earned second-team all-event honors after displaying tremendous basketball IQ alongside a deep skillset and a great frame for a freshman guard. At 6-foot-1, the future Pacer can shoot the three, attack the cup, handle the rock, and find open teammates with creative passes.
Miles Downey Miles Downey 6'3" | SG Beaverton | 2027 OR (2027 Beaverton)
Downey was a steady contributor on the offensive end, picking his spots carefully while defecting to his teammates effectively throughout the day. With a decent jump shot and good size at 6-foot-2, Downey is definitely a freshman to keep an eye on.
Varryk Hardges Varryk Hardges 6'2" | CG Grant | 2027 State OR (2027 Grant)
One of the most eye-popping athletes at the event, Hardges made his presence felt before being sidelined with an ankle injury. With springy hops and a lanky, deceptively quick first step, Hardges earned second-team all-event honors despite missing a large portion of the showcase.
Junior Vialva Junior Vialva 5'11" | PG West Linn | 2027 OR (2027 West Linn)
Vialva was in the MVP conversation at the showcase thanks to his strength, athleticism, and unmistakable awareness on the offensive end. Quite simply, Vialva is already a very complete player on both ends. At 5-foot-11, he’s sturdy with a lightning quick burst and outstanding touch around the rim. Furthermore, the future Lion has great vision, reading plays on both sides of the ball to lead to buckets. In a win over Team One, Vialva went for 25 points on efficient shooting.
Garrett Frank Garrett Frank 5'10" | SG Valley Catholic | 2027 OR (2027 Valley Catholic)
At 5-foot-10, Frank possesses decent quickness and a strong right hand going to the bucket, allowing for him to get multiple looks at the rim at the showcase. Furthermore, Frank displayed hints of craftiness and toughness on both sides of the ball.
