The PH Freshman Showcase was hosted in Longwood, FL on Sunday where prospects demonstrated their skills and competed with and against their peers. Participants showcased the results of their hard work during the offseason, while the PH Scouts in attendance took note of any standouts and potential game-changers. Let’s get into Drew’s Part I breakdown of top performers throughout this event.
Majeed was one of the first prospects that caught my eye as I walked into the event. A physical 6-foot-7 product that can shoot and handle the rock was obvious from the film but his overall game on the court is something that will take him to the next level. The potential rising star for IMG Academy made sure to get the most out of his attendance at the showcase. Already has the frame to dominate his peers but he’s also skilled with the ball in his hands and has decent ISO moves to find his spots. More than a few times was Majeed able to get by defenders and finish strong at the rim. Has a developing jumper and gets active on the boards. One of the more intriguing prospects in the 2027 class was a top standout no doubt.

Henry Robinson Jr
Henry Robinson Jr
The son of a coach sometimes gets pushed harder than others but that only made Robinson get active against his peers today. He can do it all for a rising freshman product standing around 6-foot-7 with long arms to add. Robinson will be one of the well-known class of 2027 prospects real soon. He was effective in all areas of the game including hustling for boards and rim-protecting throughout the event. It was the offensive output that stood out. His aggressive mindset works as he knows how to use his body and height leverage in the paint and the explosiveness around the rim will usually finish the job. Still time to add weight and grow into his frame but will have eyes on him moving forward.

Jenkins was my top DOG standouts of the day at our PH Freshman Showcase. From Game 1, Jenkins showed he was in attendance to put his name on the map. The rising 6-foot-2 freshman has a good build and understands how to use his body on the floor. He’s overall a good player at all three levels and gave maximum effort on the boards throughout the day. Jenkins got it done on the offensive side while displaying his under the radar skills in ISO sets or moving around to find his spots. It was the defensive effort that stood out as Jenkins forced multiple steals resulting in easy buckets on the other end. He’s for sure one of the risers in the area and will be a focal piece on Port Charlottes squad for years to come.

If there was one combo guard that could potentially play Division I ball from his performance today, that would be Oneal Delancy Oneal Delancy 6’3″ | CG Gibbs | 2027 State FL . He made a few heads turn in the crowd after the young man showed off his bag of skills at the Freshman Showcase. His dribbling handles and body control is above average for his class and the confidence to take and make tough perimeter shots was evident. Delancy is a consistent shooter that can hit from midrange or create space to finish at the rim. He’s a baller that will be a potential star prospect for Gibbs High.
Marcos Alberich
Marcos Alberich
There always has to be a sniper perimeter shooter at these event and Marcos Alberich fits the description as he was on fire at Sunday’s Freshman Showcase. From the start of the event, he was letting it fly and was even on the last team to finish where he was still taking tough shots. A deadeye three-point shooter that you can’t leave open or its hands down, man down. Alberich had himself a solid day and could generate some interest with consistent shooting heading into the fall.
Sembower was a beast today and finished as one of my top DOG standouts because of his high motor and ability to be effective in various areas. He’s an all-around baller that displayed a high IQ for the game as was able to be a reliable scorer while giving consistent effort on the boards and defensive end. Sembower put his name on the map as one of the true rising prospects in the 2027 class that can make it happen at the next level.

Gornto earned his name on my top standout list because of his overall performance at today’s event that saw him shoot the ball from three consistently while giving maximum effort on the defensive end. Has a good frame already where he can add some size and weight to be effective at the varsity level. Came away really impressed with his ability to stay locked in and be a deadeye shooter from start to finish. Have to get eyes on the rising freshman during the fall season.
