Peyton Bakos
Peyton Bakos
Bakos is an undersized guard who could score it in a variety of ways but especially from long distance. With a quick release and impressive pre-shot mechanics, Bakos didn’t need much time or space to let it fly. I also liked watching Bakos mix it up defensively, wasn’t afraid of contact and got a lot of loose balls as well. Bakos appears to be one of the top guards in Dayton’s 2027 class.
Keeran Stokes
Keeran Stokes
Stokes was a quick guard who used his shiftiness and change of pace to get by defenders. The lefty also had a high arcing jumper that swished a couple deep 3-point attempts throughout the day. On the fast break, Stokes used his speed to beat defenders down the court and get easy buckets as well. Maumee Valley Country Day has some impressive seniors and a strong 2027 class and should be one of the better small schools in NW Ohio.
Miller has already made noise through the prep hoops circuit with his MAC Basketball squad and continued to impress on Saturday. My first time watching the incoming freshman showed his perimeter shooting ability. After making a handful of 3-pointers, Miller started using the pump fake to let defenders fly by him and then either look to sidestep and shoot or attack the rim off the bounce. With Miller and Cole Arbogast, Saint Edward seems to have some strong talent that’ll be waiting their turn to make a varsity impact with the storied Eagles program.
Highlights
Luke Mitchell
Luke Mitchell
Mitchell was an early standout with some tough buckets in the first game of the day. An impressive spot up shooter from the off-guard position, Mitchell was dangerous when given space to either fire from 3-point range or attack a closeout. His best move of the day was actually a drive to the bucket where he used a fake pass to get the defender scrambling before hitting an easy left-handed layup. I left the event impressed with the overall scoring ability of Mitchell.
Ben Lindesmith
Ben Lindesmith
When I saw the last name Lindesmith, I was expecting a sniper from 3-point range and that’s exactly what I saw on Saturday. The younger brother of Nathan Lindesmith Nathan Lindesmith 5’11” | SG Mayer Lutheran | 2025 MN , one of the top shooters in SW Ohio’s 2025 class, Ben can also make it rain from downtown. A pure release off the catch, Lindesmith played well off the drive and kick game that his guard teammates used to find him open shots. You don’t want to leave the Lindesmith brothers open from 3-point range, they’ll make you pay.
