Eli Stumpf
Eli Stumpf
A big-time shooter, Stumpf hit multiple 3-pointers in every game I caught and was a key reason why team 6 went unbeaten. The wing had a couple finishes in the paint over smaller defenders as well when he attacked the rim. Able to attack off the bounce to either get to his pull-up or get to the basket with some tough buckets on drives. I was really impressed with the scoring ability of Stumpf, as he could be a key addition to a Big Walnut squad that’s a sleeper in central Ohio this winter.
Aiden Monroe
Aiden Monroe
Monroe was one of the most athletic players at the camp and also showed the ability to hit shots from 3-point range. Able to create for himself with the size, athleticism and ball handling ability, Monroe was getting easy buckets often on Saturday. In transition, Monroe could elevate over defenders and finish at the rim with ease. One of the most talented long-term prospects and currently dominant players at the camp, Monroe is a name northeast Ohio basketball fans will hear about in the next few seasons playing at Akron powerhouse STVM.

Johnson is a unique prospect because of his ability to play on or off the ball. With the size of a wing but the ability to break the defense down off the bounce and create for others, he has some point guard skills as well. Best with the ball in his hands, Johnson is tough to stay in front of and once he draws help-side defense, he’s usually finding the open man. Biggest key for Johnson is going to be developing a consistent jump-shot over the next few seasons, making a leap in that category will take his game to the next level. One of the top rising freshmen in central Ohio, expect to hear Johnson’s name often throughout his high school career.
Joshua Tyson
Joshua Tyson
Lakota West has a lot of talent in the 2027 class even after stud Lincoln Cosby announced a move to OTE to begin his high school career. Tyson was the most dynamic scorer with the ball in his hands as he was able to create shots for himself better than anybody else at the showcase. An elite shooter from 3-point range, Tyson was able to hit deep pull-up jumpers. Able to finish at the rim with both hands, a lefty extension past a shot blocker was his most impressive bucket in the paint on Saturday. I’ll be curious to see how much action Tyson gets in the backcourt next to fellow freshman Bryce Curry Bryce Curry 6’3″ | SG Lakota West | 2027 State OH this winter for an intriguing Lakota West squad.
Marquis Capers Marquis Capers 5'11" | SG Lutheran East | 2027 OH

Capers hit the craziest shot of the day with a half-court heave at the halftime buzzer of an early game at the showcase. A dynamic lead guard who showed his craftiness to finish at the rim and avoid shot blockers, Capers was able to get into the paint when he wanted to. His strong frame also allowed him to play physical with the opposing guards and had a couple buckets where he simply went through smaller defenders. One of the most productive players at the camp, Capers wasn’t the only Lutheran East prospect standing out at the camp as the Falcons have a strong 2027 group ready to get after it in the winter.
