Here’s a look at some new names who left really good first impressions on Saturday. Presented in numerical order of their jerseys and excludes players who were listed as top performers already.
Weis is a super skilled guard who proved that he can play with or without the ball in his hands. Griff made a ton of shots on Saturday and if stats had been kept, he may have been one of the highest scoring players at the whole event. His overall shot selection needs some refinement but so do most kids at this age. Look for him to be a nice contributor for Trinity in a year or two.
Bradley is a new name that left his mark on the camp. Jack showed he can make shots at a high clip and has deep range on his jumpshot. He needs to dedicate more effort on the defensive end but that’s typical of 2027s at this point in their careers.
Another big shooter, Isaiah mostly hung around outside the three point line on Saturday but he made plenty of shots from deep and especially from the corners. Rowlett is part of a nice trio of players who came from Montgomery County and once you add them to Sophomore Luke Fawns Luke Fawns 6’6″ | SF Montgomery County | 2026 State KY , the Indians will have a talented young core.

With Little, you have to take the good with the bad when evaluating him. He made some fantastic and high level shots on Saturday including a fadeaway that would have made Kobe Bryant proud. The bad is that he has yet to meet a shot he doesn’t like and didn’t slow down once the shots stopped falling. In order to reach his ceiling, Brody needs to be more of a facilitator but he has a ton of potential and will be a nice player for the Panthers.

Hord is a name that has been floating around in the 2027 class for a while but Saturday was my first time seeing him. On first viewing, there’s a lot to like. A versatile guard who can penetrate or knock down shots, Lane looks like he’ll be able to help Taylor County in their pursuit of a championship this season and could step up to be a main contributor his Sophomore through Senior seasons.
