Continue ReadingIt might be too early but we are getting ahead of things as we introduce the new 2027 Rankings. This class has a lot of potential and some players that have already made a name for themselves. We look forward to covering these players as they come up through the ranks here in Utah on the high school scene and in the grassroots scene as well.
#1 Bode Sparrow Bode Sparrow 6'2" | CG Davis | 2027 State UT || Davis High School ||
Bode is a do it all guard that will be a Swiss Army Knife as he can go in the paint and come out with rebounds as he has athleticism and strength to go along with that IQ as he understands the game. Bode can help as a lead guard and he can also run the wing and be a threat out in the perimeter. On defense he guards and that is something that might get him on the floor at the varsity level .
#2 Ashton Shewell Ashton Shewell 6'4" | CG Lehi | 2027 State UT || N/A ||
One of those big time attacking guards that simply knows how to get to the rim. He plays with a big time motor and he is active. With that ability to get to the rim often times defenders sag off and he is able to get space for his shooting. On the boards he gets to display that strength, fundamentals and ability to grab and go. Excited to see what he brings to the high school table with that all-around game.
#3 Diesel Dart Diesel Dart 6'1" | SG Corner Canyon | 2027 State UT || Corner Canyon High School ||
Diesel has a really good feel for the game. He is a player that is active defensively as he gets touches and easy buckets. It makes sense as he is another two sport athlete in this class that is loaded with many two sport studs. Diesel can shoot and he is crafty getting to the rim. Excited to see him develop over at Corner canyon.
#4 Davian Lazarus Davian Lazarus 6'3" | SG Olympus | 2027 State UT || Olympus High School ||
Olympus is getting another shooter and another shooter with big time potential and some size. With the guards just absolutely loaded Davian’s size and shooting ability will help him see the floor sooner than later and after this season there is going ot be a major battle for what players will take the minutes of two super studs that are currently on the floor at almost all times. Look for Davian to come aloNg slowly but when he is ready you will be sure he is on the floor ASAP.
#5 Karter Miller Karter Miller 6'0" | PG Layton | 2027 State UT || Layton High School ||
Karter was a player that we saw get better and better every time he was on the floor. His shooting ability is very apparent and he has playmaking ability as well. He has a lot of upside and he might be among the few players that make a varsity roster and see the floor. Expect to hear his name mentioned often this coming year when it comes to Class of 2027 guys.
