1.) 2024 [player_tooltip player_id='1256304' first='Ben' last='Bockman'] (Decorah) - 22.4 points per game

Bockman was thrust into a much larger role than expected last season, needing to create looks for himself and his teammates. Despite the unexpected nature of his new role, he thrived. A sharpshooting wing with great size at 6-4, Bockman buried 37.5% of his 3-point attempts last season and shot 47% from the floor overall. With the Vikings adding [player_tooltip player_id='1381408' first='Zach' last='Driscoll'] via transfer, and getting star guard [player_tooltip player_id='1171655' first='Treyton' last='McCain'] back from an ACL injury, Bockman's numbers may take a bit of a dip this season, but this will be a much better team overall.

2.) 2024 [player_tooltip player_id='1476980' first='Mason' last='Smith'] (Chariton) - 22.2

Smith was written about in the 2A returning scorers article, but we made a mistake there as Chariton is moving up to 3A this year. He's a 5-9 guard who uses his quickness to his advantage, getting by defenders and to the bucket for finishes routinely. He didn't shoot it very well from the arc last year, but if he was able to improve his stroke a bit over the summer, he could easily be a 25+ point scorer as a senior for the Chargers.

3.) 2024 [player_tooltip player_id='1171692' first='Scott' last='Harr'] (Hampton-Dumont-CAL) - 21.4

A big, physical, athletic forward with great hands, Harr was dominant for the Bulldogs, averaging 13.1 rebounds and 3.7 assists to go with his scoring numbers. He has great hands, soft touch around the rim, and he goes to the free-throw line a ton, helping add to his point total.

4.) 2024 [player_tooltip player_id='1376720' first='Payton' last='Hagans'] (Mount Pleasant) - 20.7

Hagans led the Panthers in scoring, rebounding (8.2), assists (3.5), and steals (2.4) as a junior. A 5-11 guard who plays bigger than his listed height, he's at his best when he's playing downhill and attacking the bucket, but his jumper is enough of a threat that it still needs to be respected.

5.) 2025 [player_tooltip player_id='1381408' first='Zach' last='Driscoll'] (Decorah) - 20.5*

A high IQ guard who can fill it up from all three levels, Driscoll does a great job playing with pace, changing speeds to help get by defenders, and he has a deadly mid-range game. He was fantastic at MFL Mar-Mac during his freshman and sophomore seasons, and while he'll be taking a step up in competition following the move to Decorah, he's the type of dynamic all-around player who will step in and continue to be a dominant two-way player.

6.) 2024 [player_tooltip player_id='1376686' first='Jesse' last='Van Kalsbeek'] (MOC-Floyd Valley) - 20.4

Few players in the state are more efficient than Val Kalsbeek, a 6-2 scorer who posted 60-42-73 shooting splits last season for the Dutchmen. He shoots it at a high clip both off the dribble and the catch, and while he's a great shooter, he looks to attack more than anything, putting the ball on the floor and finishing at the rim. He rebounds at a high level (7.2 a game) and is a willing passer as well.

7.) 2024 [player_tooltip player_id='1171696' first='Jack' last='Cooley'] (Clarke) - 20.0

A long, bouncy wing who uses his length to his advantage on both ends of the floor, Cooley put up huge numbers for the Indians as a junior, averaging 10.0 rebounds, 5.6 assists, 3.0 steals, and 1.4 blocks a game in addition to his scoring. With his size (6-5), he can get to his shot pretty much whenever he wants, and he has excellent court vision and a good feel for when he needs to take over the game either as a scorer, facilitator, or defender.

8.) 2024 [player_tooltip player_id='1171685' first='Derek' last='Weisskopf'] (Williamsburg) - 19.2

The future Iowa linebacker uses many of the same traits that made him a coveted prospect on the gridiron to be effective as a scorer. He's a strong, athletic wing who absorbs contact and finishes through it around the rim. He didn't shoot it well from deep last year (24.1 3P%), but he's a better shooter than that. He's certainly at his best when he's playing downhill and using his overwhelming strength and athleticism to score against anyone at this level.

9.) 2024 [player_tooltip player_id='1751185' first='Jacob' last='Khounsourath'] (Nevada) - 18.7

A 6-1 do-it-all guard, Khounsourath led the Cubs in scoring, assists, and blocks last season, while ranking second in steals and contributing at a high level on the glass. He's a good athlete who can fill it up in a hurry from all three levels, posting 41-38-81 shooting splits as a junior. With the top four scorers back, Nevada could be a surprise team in 3A this season, and Khounsourath is the biggest reason why.

10.) 2024 [player_tooltip player_id='1376690' first='Colton' last='Rasmussen'] (Atlantic) - 18.2

A 6-3 wing with good size, Rasmussen is a good enough shooter that the threat needs to be respected, but is better in the mid-range game and when he's attacking the rim. Following the graduation of a pair of double-figure scorers, he could average well north of 20 points a game this season.
