There is a ton of talent in the 2025 class from both states, so naturally, there are some great players left out of this article. That is not a knock on the guys that did not make it. For the sake of this article, PHD thought that these 10 players would make a tough and fun team to watch. With that being said, let’s take a look at who made the roster!
The Perfect 2025 Team
Starting 5
This one was an easy choice. Klabo is amazingly skilled, a winner, fierce competitor, a stat stuffer, and he has three Division 1 offers up to this point. Mason is an excellent shooter but he is also a top-notch creator and passer. He works his tail off on the court and he is a playmaker on both ends. With this team, Mason could run the 1 but also slide over to the 2 spot with Neuendorf at the 1. Those two would put on a magic show with their ball skills. Klabo is a marvelous offensive player but he can also D-up, take charges, board, and he will dive on the floor for 50/50 balls. Mason would be an elite scorer but could also set the table for this uber-talented team.
Highlights
He has already proved that he is one of the best high school players in North Dakota and this summer, Walker proved that he can be a STUD in AAU as well. He might come from a small school and Braaten has Big Time game. He performed at a high level on the Prep Hoops Circuit and was easily one of the top guards/playmakers/shooters. With the talent on this team, Braaten would get single coverage and he would have a hay-day. He is a better athlete than people realize and at 6’4″ Walker is a matchup nightmare. I could see him as the leading scorer on this team but he also makes a ton of plays passing the ball. Walker is a star QB, so he knows a thing or two about delivering dimes. He is also a Rockstar rebounder. I would love to see Braaten and Klabo on the floor together, that would be dynamic duo!
Highlights
Brooks would be a matchup nightmare on the wing. With the shooters and size on this squad, Ben could take what the defense gave him and I think that he would thrive at exploiting mismatches. Brooks scores from all levels and his athleticism allows him to make highlight-reel plays. It would be fun to see Brooks and Ouse on the court together. Two ballers at 6’7″ with a ton of versatility, I think opposing teams would get a headache after looking at this teams length and athleticism.
Highlights
I love Karson’s game because he can play the 2-5 positions and he would offer a ton of flexibility depending on the lineups and/or the type of basketball that you wanted to play. Ouse has had a great summer and he recently picked up two NSIC offers. Karson has the length, skill, and the well-rounded game that would make him a perfect fit on this all-star team.
His length and mobility have college coaches excited and that is why Goodbary made this team. This summer, Griffen picked up an offer from Augustana. Much like the other guys on this squad, Goodbary has versatility and loads of potential. He makes plays from every level. I would like to see Griffen in the high-low game with Hanson or Ahneman. He has a ton of upside in the PNR game and he has a high amount of switchability. Besides being crazy-long and rangy, Goodbary is a winner, and everyone loves a WINNER!

Star Reserves
I have heard people say that Easton is the best passer in South Dakota and I believe it! He would do wonders with the shooters and athletes on this team. Bruns, Braaten, and Klabo would love playing with Neuendorf and they would get a ton of great looks. He would also feed the beasts down low and in pick-n-roll action. One of the best aspects of Neuendorf’s game is that he makes everyone better and the guys on this team certainly would improve by playing with super skilled and smart PG.
Highlights
He is one of the top shooters in the Dakotas regardless of class. Bruns is a Stock Riser and he proved to be a bucket getter this grassroots season. With all this talent, opposing teams would be spread thin and that is when Bruns would step up shoot the lights out. He will fill-it-up from beyond the arc but he can also score going to the basket from multiple levels. Luke is baller, a winner, and I could not leave him off this team.
He is skilled, strong, and versatile. However, Brodina made this team because of his toughness and hustle. He is a double-double guy but Parker does not have to get numbers to impact the game. He will run through a brick wall, dive on the floor, and out-tough anybody. He would also bring versatility and could play as a 2, 3, or 4. If he was at the 2, I could see him taking his man down to the block and playing bully-ball. Mr. Brodina would be a great fit on this team. He has it all but his grittiness and resilience separates him from the pack.
Highlights
He is another guy with great length and Nick has the skill to play as the 4 or 5. Hanson was a DUDE this summer and he got the job done as a PF and C. He seems to be constantly improving and his skill level is always on the rise. I would love to see him run high-low action and get involved in PNR action with some of the ND guards. Hanson would also be great at working with the other BIGs on the team.
Highlights
I could not leave off the beast from Sheyenne. He would be the biggest player on the team and Tommy would provide rim-protecting, rebounding, and a solid scoring punch from inside the arc. He can also step outside and hit the triple. Opposing teams would have a difficult time with him on the block and with all the shooters, you would have a tough time doubling down. Ahneman is another player that continues to improve and with his high ceiling, he had to make this squad. Big things are ahead for Tommy.
