A handful of teams and prospects took the drive from up north to compete in Arch Madness last weekend. Here's my top standouts from Wisconsin and Minnesota.

[player_tooltip player_id='1284163' first='Josiah' last='Coleman'] - MN Heat Hoyt 2024

Coleman was big for MN Heat this weekend. The 6'2" PG scored 31 in first game and was firing on all cylinders. He fit five triples in that game while also getting it done attacking the rim. In their second game, I saw him put on a similar showing. Displaying tons of confidence as a three-level scorer and even flexed deep range late in the decongestant half. Lastly, his defending and ball handling abilities were proficient and should not be overlooked.

Connor Bangs - MN Heat Hoyt 2024

Bangs lived ups to his name from deep. He drilled five three's in their first game Saturday Morning and nearly doubled that on Sunday. I watched him closely Saturday afternoon, where he flashed excellent slashing abilities and showed no fear finishing through contact. He also got it done at the free throw line en route to a string of numerous high-scoring performances.

[player_tooltip player_id='2116652' first='Tavian' last='Crawford'] - United Hoops 2025

[player_tooltip player_id='2116652' first='Tavian' last='Crawford'] always impresses me when I watch United Hoops play. Something new from that I saw this weekend was that he displayed some nice bounce near the rim. Wether it was a dunk or a rebound, he was really getting up there. He also showed a really nice ability to create space off the ball to find more scoring opportunities. Crawford showed a smooth touch inside to go along with a ton of explosiveness driving the lane. Outside of his scoring capabilities, Crawford gets it done as a passer, while also crashing the boards at an efficient rate.

[player_tooltip player_id='1883464' first='Kenyon' last='Miggins'] - United Hoops 2025

In addition to Crawford, Point Guard [player_tooltip player_id='1883464' first='Kenyon' last='Miggins'] was crucial to United Hoops winning the 16U bracket. Miggins showed off a quick first step with a high motor and plenty of explosiveness with the ball. But what stands out the most are his playmaking abilities. A top-100 prospect in Wisconsin, he's got plenty of tools that make him a collegiate-level floor general. His ball-handling allows him to create space, break off defenders, and get guys involved at a high rate. Miggins also flashed a smooth midrange game.

Cyle Steffl - [program_tooltip program_id='2076031' first='Wisconsin' last='Hoops Select'] 2024

Steffl has already earned tons of praise for his play this week on the 17U all tournament team. So I'll make this brief. Steffl is a pure game changer and he absolutely showed that this weekend. A super efficient shooter and scorer who also shows productivity as a ball-handler and defender. A sure name for small schools to watch.
