Remember, D1 college coaches can only watch Saturday and Sunday this weekend but the D2 schools and others can watch Friday plus Saturday and Sunday.
Hard Work Region Finals (Twin Cities): Minnesota Fury (#3), Minnesota Select Mantey (#4), Minnesota Lightning Ellerbusch (#5), Real Phenom Nick (#7), Minnesota Rush (#9), Minnesota Select Fuerte (#10), Minnesota Rise (#12), Minnesota Fury Muir (#13), Minnesota Crossfire Becker (#14), Northstar Titans Brodeur (#15), West Central United (#16), Minnesota Heat Jones (#17), Real Phenom Ivan (#18), Border Select Hayes (#19), Northstar Titans Wynia (#20), Starks Elite (#21), Minnesota Chill (#22), Minnesota Lightning Dahl (#23), WOTN Berg (#24), Northern Lakers (#25), WOTN Mitchell (#28), Southwest MN Stars (#29), Minnesota Powerhouse (#30)
Note: That’s 23 of the top 30 teams in Minnesota playing for a championship. In front of college coaches. And remember, D1 schools cannot come until Saturday so they will be watching the Sweet 16, Elite Eight, Final Four and championship. So stakes are high. This field also includes every good to decent team in North and South Dakota, some top teams from Iowa, some good teams from Wisconsin, and some good teams from Colorado among others. Should be quite fun.
Memphis Live (Memphis, TN): D1 Minnesota (#1)
Note: This is only a 17 team field but six of the teams are from one of the three big shoe leagues (the top leagues, we are not counting the secondary ones that teams pay to be on). Some very good teams, D1 Minnesota is set to play three EYBL teams and one other 3SSB team.
Las Vegas Big Time (Las Vegas, NV): J Sizzle (#6), Bigg Nation Elite (#22)
Note: Nothing better than Las Vegas at the end of the summer for basketball! Something I miss. Sizzle will be there coming off of a 5-0 weekend. J Sizzle is in the Invitational division with six other shoe league teams, Bigg Nation is in the Diamond group which is the second division.
Summer Finale (Kansas City): Minnesota Spartans (#10)
Note: This event has a pretty solid Pool A and Pool B with eight teams each. There are five shoe teams in Pool A, Spartans are in a solid Pool B of eight teams.
The Final Chapter (Mequon, WI): Comets Elite (#8), Comets Petermeier (#27)
Note: There is an eight team group of shoe teams and a few locals (Wisconsin) playing match and the rest of the teams playing what looks to be similar style showcase games in a big field along with it.
