However, after watching most of June and July, I was able to come up with 5 guys I think really boosted their stock during these past two months. Each player listed is unique, and incredibly talented and fun to watch.
Bryson Bahl Bryson Bahl 6’4″ | SG Papio South | 2025 State #289 Nation NE had an incredible summer for ETG. He was a no brainer for this list. According to the metrics ran by Synergy Basketball, Bahl finished first on the 3SSB 16U circuit for offensive efficiency, with 1.23 Points Per Possession (PPP). To those unfamiliar with basketball analytics, that is a very, very impressive accomplishment, especially with the volume of shots Bahl takes per game. This stat alone proves that Bahl is an elite shooter and scorer. He was able to finish several games with 20+ against some of the best competition in the country, and was one of the leaders on his team in scoring during the month of July. This summer Bryson Bahl Bryson Bahl 6’4″ | SG Papio South | 2025 State #289 Nation NE showcased that he is one of the top players in the 2025 class.
I’ve been able to write about Barret Boesiger Barret Boesiger 6’2″ | SG Norris | 2025 State NE a good amount this summer. He is such a fun player to watch play because of his passion and his drive for the game. I may have stated this before, but every time I’ve seen Boesiger play, he’s always been the hardest worker on the court. While he is a tough kid and a hard worker, he is incredibly skilled as well. He has a beautiful jump shot with great elevation and a high release point. Boesiger is able to score on all three levels of the court, and can get to his spots comfortably. He led his Nebraska Supreme squad in scoring this summer, and was their most reliable and consistent presence on the floor.
Braden Frager Braden Frager 6’6″ | SF Lincoln Southwest | 2025 State #211 Nation NE may be the most talked about player in the state right now after a monster spring/summer, leading to several HM offers. As of right now, Frager lists offers from Nebraska, Creighton, Northwestern, Iowa State, & Iowa. This summer with LSW and ETG, he lived up to the hype and showed everyone why he is such a highly recruited prospect. Frager can truly do it all, and possess all the physical tools to be a nightmare at the collegiate level. He had a tremendous summer, and I expect him to continue with his stellar play in the winter for Lincoln Southwest.
Ben Johnson Ben Johnson 6’5″ | SF Kearney | 2025 State NE is such an intriguing prospect. He is another guy that has all of the physical tools to be a really special player at the next level. This summer, he played up an age level with OSA Klein 17U. Even playing with older guys, Johnson was able to dominate due to his strong frame, physicality, high motor, and skillset. At 6’4, Johnson has a college ready body already. While he is the leading scorer for his school team in the winter, he played a little bit of a different role this summer for OSA Klein. Johnson is the type of guy who can impact the game on both ends of the floor, and has a knack for making winning plays. Pairing this along with his offensive skillset and ability to score the ball, he is such a dynamic prospect. He had a great summer, and I expect his stellar play to continue.
At only 15 years of age, Derek Rollins Derek Rollins 6’4″ | SF Millard North | 2025 State #386 Nation NE is one of the most dominant players in the state of Nebraska, regardless of class. He is a physical forward who is versatile enough to play both in the interior and on the perimeter. At 6’5, Rollins knows how to use his body very well, and is able to finish through contact around the rim. He is also a relentless rebounder and defender. This summer, Rollins showcased to many why he is one of the best players in the state. He was one of the leaders on his ETG squad in scoring and rebounding. He showcased his ability to stretch the floor with his three ball, while also scoring with his back to the basket, and off of drives to the rim. Watch for Rollins to have a monster Junior year at powerhouse, Millard North.
