As we end July I was able to look back at the best playmakers from the Prep Hoops Circuit events in July. Most of the players on my list were games I watched in person or on Baller TV. Here is a list of top playmakers from this summer's Prep Hoops Circuit.

[player_tooltip player_id='1379224' first='Jaiden' last='Harrison'] - Corey Graham Elite 2024
Harrison is a 6'3 guard who gets out in transition and makes plays for others first before he looks to score himself. At the Summer Challenge Jaiden scored 40 points in one of the games as well as racked up many assists getting downhill and kicking out to teammates on the perimeter. If the lanes to pass were cut off he looked to score. It's rare to see a New York guard make a good impression on Chicago guys but he showed out. A mid-major guard with his size, awareness, and ability to shoot the rock will earn several offers before his senior season is over.

Benjamin Tweedy – AUSA Ed 2024
A PG from down under came and lit up the courts with his fantastic passing ability. Tweedy is a 6'4 guard who just has a knack for finding guys on the move. He has good vision and plays a step ahead of the defense. Benjamin worked well off ball screens turning the corner and hitting his big men in the right spot each time. He showed some flash on some of his passes looking the part of a Division 1 point guard. As a scorer he uses his height well and can score with some pizzazz at the rim. Considered a low-major plus prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id='1285486' first='Tristian' last='Ford'] - Mac Irvin Fire 2025
Ford is a guard who showed out at the Summer Challenge before having a nice run on the Nike EYBL. Tristian is an explosive guard who plays with the ball on a string in the open court. He has good length to disrupt things on defense as he had several steals and even had a big block at the end of the game against Wisconsin Playground. Ford can score from multiple angles using both hands. His recruiting is trending toward being a high major college prospect.

Rashaad Davis - Wisconsin Playground 2026
Davis was one of the very few young talents that caught my eye during the Summer Challenge. Davis is a member of the shift team. He moves defenders from side to side with his crossover and other combination handle moves. Rashaad plays with the ball on a string and he's at best when he attacks guys head-on off the bounce. He can finish around the rim with various floaters, layups, and pull-ups. At 5'10 he can only become more dangerous as he grows and adds more experience. Davis has some D1 qualities that will continue to show over the next couple of years.

[player_tooltip player_id='1157205' first='Dekwon' last='Brown'] - Denard Bros 2024
Brown is already considered one of the top guards in the state, but he could have easily been added to the Top Shooters article with his 8 Three-pointers in a game performance at the Summer Challenge. Dekwon is a bigger guard who can beat you with his handle or by force. He is another guard who has a strong crossover and combination of moves that helps him separate from the defender. If he has a smaller guard he drives right to him and scores with force. Either way he draws two guys often and he can dish out assists to open teammates. Brown has already received several offers from D1 schools making the transition to Chicago his senior year could add on an additional amount of offers.

[player_tooltip player_id='1295497' first='Josh' last='Aniceto'] - [program_tooltip program_id='2078376' first='Illinois' last='Attack'] 2024
Josh is a quick and dynamic guard who excelled in fast break situations. He is very tough to guard in pick/roll situations. His speed off the pick is one thing but having to guard whether he passes or looks to score is another headache. Aniceto likes to get others involved before he looks to score himself. Small school colleges should be on him now.

[player_tooltip player_id='1436161' first='Cale' last='Cosme'] - [program_tooltip program_id='2075467' first='ET21' last='Buckeyes']
Cosme is short in stature but plays with a lot of heart. The 5'9 point guard always plays well on the Prep Hoops Circuit. He does an excellent job at getting in the lane and drawing eyes only to kick the ball out to teammates for open shots. One thing I like about Cale is that he never backs down from a challenge as he went shot for shot with [player_tooltip player_id='1157205' first='Dekwon' last='Brown'] at the Summer Challenge. Cale has NBA plus range which means you have to pick him up as soon as he crosses half-court. Cosme is a player that has just been consistent in front of coaches and the more they watch him the more they see how much he impacts a game. Just recently received a D2 offer.

[player_tooltip player_id='1285522' first='CJ' last='Savage'] - [program_tooltip program_id='2075622' first='M14' last='Hoops'] 2024
A very under-the-radar playmaker in the circuit was CJ. He is a 5'10 guard who likes to get downhill and sheds defenders on his way to the rim with his strength and scores tough buckets through contact. During the Grit Finals Savage was able to do just that. Score through defenders quite often over taller opponents. CJ also proved that he can make shots when players back off him some. Going into his senior year CJ has opened the eyes of several small schools and many coaches will have his name on a list.

As we end July I was able to look back at the best playmakers from the Prep Hoops Circuit events in July. Most of the players on my list were games I watched in person or on Baller TV. Here is a list of top playmakers from this summer's Prep Hoops Circuit.
