Continue ReadingI did a couple of these last year with the 2023 class, so I decided to do some more now with the 2024 class within the state of Washington now that the season is approaching. I reached out to some players within the 2024 class and asked them 5 questions about their summers, the upcoming season, and what their recruiting process is looking like as of right now.
How do you think your AAU & HS summer league went? What is your outlook on your upcoming season?
-I think my AAU went pretty successful, I played really consistently and showed different strengths of my game such as bringing the ball down against pressure, scoring inside and rebounding consistently in front of college coaches. I am excited to be the main guy again on a young inexperienced team and lead them towards being a winning team.
What are some things that stand out about your game? Things that coaches can see and know you excel at
-Some things that stand out about my game are my scoring ability at a high consistent level, my ability to rebound the basketball, and bringing the ball up against pressure.
What are you looking for in a school beyond HS?
-I am just looking for a school that believes in my ability to contribute to their team at a high level.
Have you been in contact with any coaches/schools? If so, what schools?
-I have been in contact with some D2s and a D1 school, I have been getting recruited by Air Force, I have been in contact with Azusa Pacific, Black Hills State, and a handful of D3 schools.
What do you want to improve on most in your game before playing at the next level?
-The one thing I want to improve on most in my game is Lateral quickness, I know I can guard 1-5 but if I can improve my lateral quickness it will make me a much better defender.

How do you think your AAU & HS summer league went? What is your outlook on your upcoming season?
-High school summer league was an experience I’m definitely adapting to all 8 of our seniors that graduated last year and accepting a way bigger role but this is always what I wanted and what I’ve been working for so I definitely took advantage of it I had multiple 30 point games and 1 40 point game , AAU was great I love playing with my brothers because they all fight and go to war me and my teammates had a small team on Seattle rotary but we still fought and competed every single game that we could and we had some dawgs AAU was fun and I definitely feel like I showcased my talents.
What are some things that stand out about your game? Things that coaches can see and know you excel at
-I think something’s that really stand out about my game is I can guard 1-5 and I can score at all 3 levels and shoot the ball well also my size i am 6’3 190 pounds.
What are you looking for in a school beyond HS?
-What I’m looking for in a school beyond high school is just a school that I can grow as a player and develop , a place with a winning mindset that’s gonna push me every day to get better.
Have you been in contact with any coaches/schools? If so, what schools?
-I have been in contact with Idaho State , Western Washington , SPU , CBU , UPS , Columbia, & Pepperdine.
What do you want to improve on most in your game before playing at the next level?
-I want to improve the most on my lateral quickness and my endurance lateral quickness so I can slide my feet faster on defense and endurance so I can go to war on the court longer : taking charges , rebounding , etc.
How do you think your AAU & HS summer league went? What is your outlook on your upcoming season?
-During my summer playing AAU and Summer League with Curtis it went pretty solid, I felt like I could’ve played a lot better, but definitely learned a lot. My outlook on next season is to just be a leader for our young team mostly losing most are team from are back 2 back state championships from the last two years.
What are some things that stand out about your game? Things that coaches can see and know you excel at
-Some things that stand out about my game that coaches know I excel at is my ability to shoot the ball and defend at a high level.
What are you looking for in a school beyond HS?
-What I am looking for in a school beyond HS is a school that I can have and opportunity to learn and get better at the things that will help me further on as basketball player.
Have you been in contact with any coaches/schools? If so, what schools?
-I haven’t been in contact with any schools recently, just waiting on that one opportunity.
What do you want to improve on most in your game before playing at the next level?
-What I want to improve on before playing at the next level, is just perfecting my shot and building my athleticism to compete with stronger and athletic guards.
How do you think your AAU & HS summer league went? What is your outlook on your upcoming season?rn-I think my AAU and HS season went very well. My AAU team was able to play in San-Francisco and Oakland during the April live periods, and we went 5-3 during both those weekends. We were also able to win a few local tournaments in May. My high-school team played very well in summer league. We went 17-6 and won the CWU team camp. We all made big strides in our development. We have almost everyone returning from last year so I can’t wait to see how we will do during the season.What are some things that stand out about your game? Things that coaches can see and know you excel atrn-The thing that stands out the most in my game is my ability to knock down shots at a high percentage, and create my own shot. In my AAU season I shot over 55% from three and over 45% from the field, while making at least 80% of my free throws. I have a high defensive motor, and take pride in my defense. I always challenge myself to guard the other teams best player. Coaches also see I am a team player and regardless if I’m in the game or on the bench I am cheering on and talking to my Teammates.
What are you looking for in a school beyond HS?rn-I am looking for a high academic school that also has a competitive basketball program from any level. I would prefer to stay on the west coast, but I am open to going anywhere in the country.
Have you been in contact with any coaches/schools? If so, what schools?rn-I have been in contact with a few schools from the live periods, and through email and Twitter. I have talked with Pedro García Rosado from Eastern Washington, Coach Skye Ettin (When he was at Princeton) from Princeton University, Coach Matt Glover from Metropolitan State University of Denver, Coach Lorenzo Griffin from La Verne University , and Coach Justin Lunt from Pacific University.
What do you want to improve on most in your game before playing at the next level?rn-What I want to improve most before playing at the next level is my body. I want to be able to withstand the physicality of college, so I need to become stronger, faster, and better conditioned.
