With premier events taking place all over the country, coaches are out in full force trying to shape their future recruiting classes. Today, we are going to take a closer look at some of the players in the area who enjoyed a strong month of June and are likely to continue that momentum into the month of July.
A fast riser on the New England scene, Kelvin Odih Kelvin Odih 6’4″ | SF South Kent School | 2025 State NLG has begun seeing an uptick in offers heading into July. While already holding an offer from Sacred Heart, Odih picked up three offers in June from Albany, Marquette, and most recent the University of Rhode Island. The 2025 guard will be leaving his hometown of Providence, Rhode Island as he will be transferring to NEPSAC power South Kent this upcoming season. With reputable programs already making offers, one can assume there are plenty more to be made to the 6’3″ shooting guard.
Speaking of a quick riser up the rankings, look no further than class of 2026 big man, Ben Ahmed Ben Ahmed 6’10” | C Putnam Science Academy | 2026 State NLG . The Putnam Science rising Sophomore has already seen his fair share of offers come his way ranging from Iowa and Rutgers. Back in early June, Ahmed earned an offer from Georgia Tech and recently picked up another offer from the University of Rhode Island. As 2026 rankings begin to take shape over the coming weeks and months, do not be surprised to see this BABC big man make a home near the top of many rankings.
The 2025 Loer is widely viewed as one of the higher-level shooters in the region. The St. George’s combo guard was able to parlay a strong school season and AAU season in the month of June as he garnered offers from Albany, Bryant, Siena and the University of Rhode Island. Currently sitting at 11th in our 2025 rankings, it would not surprise us to see Loer continue his trajectory upwards as July carries on as he makes the live period rounds with the Middlesex Magic.
Samson Reilly
Samson Reilly
Another BABC product rounds out our list in Samson Reilly. The 6’2″ rising Senior parlayed winning the state championship in March and kept his momentum going throughout the summer thus far. The Connecticut native added three more D1 offers to his name in a matter of days having earned scholarship offers from Buffalo, and two programs situated near by in Sacred Heart and Quinnipiac. With his ability to knockdown jumpers from long range, anticipate more coaches seeing the benefit Reilly could provide to their programs going forward.
