Over the course of the weekend, I saw countless of players and teams compete with multiple big time performances throughout. I have already looked at my Top Performers and given underclassman evals but now, let’s take a look at Part 1 of some of the other performers that I saw at the Prep Hoops Circuit Grit Region Finals and evaluate their performance.
Highlights
Robinson, who played with EG10 ‘ last=”] 2025, was one of the quickest on ball guards here this past weekend. His best asset right now are his handles and how crafty he can be getting down hill and into the driving lanes. Did struggle to finish some and was just a little wild at times in the lane but was always super aggressive about it. For Tindley, he should be one of their best distributors for them this season and as long as he makes smart decisions, he would be a great weapon for them.
Regardless to the controversial ending to this weekend for Team Teague 2025, Sims was still a highlight for them all weekend. Known as a knock down shooter, Sims was actually doing a great job of getting out in transition and converting some of the most easy layups I had seen all weekend. He had some of the better court awareness I saw all weekend as well and was doing a great job of playing with a high IQ both on and off the ball. Lot of confidence in Sims as a player and being all around scorer is going to take him far at the next level.
Richmond ‘ last=”]’ last=”]’ last=”] was sneakily one of the players that stood out to me over the weekend. Even though he missed a few bunnies around the rim, there was a real nice smoothness to his game and was cutting real well to the basket. He was one of the bigger players for Kyle Guy Elite 2024 Black and was utilizing a solid ‘inside-out’ game and was able to not only make plays in the paint, but knock down the open outside shot. Would like to see a little more quickness and explosiveness to his game, but he was an important piece to KGE 2024 Black winning the 17U Grit Championship.
At 6-foot-3, Terry is a small forward with good size and versatility. Was real impressed with the amount of second chance points he gave INB 2025 Elite and was extremely aggressive about attacking the glass and getting the rebounds. He is long, strong, and just real active around the basket. Want to see a little more of his play on the wing, but he played his tail off on the floor.
Highlights
At 6-foot-4, Paul Gilvydis Paul Gilvydis 6'4" | SF Andrean | 2025 IN is viewed as a player that can be used at the wing and post. While he is still a little raw, he was one of the more active bigs I saw as he was competing on both ends of the floor. He has natural strength and was using it to his advantage while also being one of the best ‘passing bigs’ I saw all weekend.
A player that recently saw his name added to our 2025 rankings, Bricker was one of the better true scorers this entire weekend for OPS 2025 Black. Has the ability to score both on and off the ball and does so with a high floor IQ. At 6-foot-3 and lanky, he is likely projected as a true wing in the long term as his smooth, consistent stroke gives him an opportunity for coaches to really take a look at him at the next level. There is upside with Bricker and he will likely be Warsaw’s top scorer this coming season.
