Carolina Pressure 2024 has been one of the best Grassroots Teams in the state all season, and Burgess’s dynamic shooting ability was a big boost for them on their final weekend of the year. In a matchup with Charleston Raptors on Saturday, Jordan came out on fire, knocking down 4 straight 3s in the first half. In Pressure’s second game Saturday, Burgess also had a good game knowing down 2 3s in a 30 point blowout win over Team Curry. Burgess is capable of knocking down perimeter shots off the dribble and is also a very good defender, making his role extremely important for his team.
Lewis is a stand out shooter from the 2025 Carolina Pressure squad that had a great weekend. On Saturday Morning, TJ had a 20 point game shooting 5-8 from behind the arc. He has good size, off-ball movement, and a quick release that can help him be a good complimentary piece to any offense.
Taye is a player who left a good first impression on me this weekend at the Phenom Hardwood Classic. He had one of the quickest releases in the event and plays off his teammates very well. Robinson got hot against Run the Citi on Saturday, and the offense quickly began to flow through him in search of a second half comeback. He would finish with 13 Points knocking down 4 3s in a 60-55 loss.
Renault is the lone “Stretch Big” in this list and he represents them well. Although he doesn’t have the quickest of feet and can at times be a target on defense, when they are set Parker is near automatic from behind the arc. He plays off pick-and-pop and slip-screen actions very well. He also has a high release that makes it hard for smaller defenders to disrupt.
Evans made the switch to Team Charlotte on the Under Armour circuit at the beginning of the month and I got to see him with his new squad in Bermuda Run for the first time this weekend. Kaleb is very good in multiple aspects of the game but playing up with Team Charlotte 17U on Saturday, he had less of a responsibility to facilitate and more of a focus on scoring which resulted in an increase in shooting numbers.
Hamilton had a great weekend shooting the ball for Team CP3 to help boost his stock in the eyes of College Coaches. He provides much-needed spacing for a star-studded CP3 Offense with efficiency. In a win over Upward Stars SE 3SSB Carolinas on Saturday Afternoon, Grant had 30 Points catching fire from behind the arc. He currently holds offers from Lees-McRae and Roanoke but I would be surprised if the interest level around his game did not rise after his performances in Bermuda Run this weekend.
